Gotta call him on drinking that Crown, tho; you a southern boy, you gotta get some Bourbon, SoCo, or Jack, baby!
Seriously tho, glad to see that the Briscoes are still involved with ROH (hopefully that's what this means)....

I think it is meant as setting up a way for Jay to drop the belt, and the injury is a great reason to build up the rematch as seeming like Jay has a better chance of winning when he eventually comes back.badnewzxl wrote:Gotta call him on drinking that Crown, tho; you a southern boy, you gotta get some Bourbon, SoCo, or Jack, baby!

Speculation I have heard has Cole competing his heel turn in winning the belt from Jay in some very heelish way (like using a chair on the injured shoulder or something).

I'd be cool with that; I just hope they don't rush it with Cole. I was thinking they wanted to wait until Final Battle, but this "end of iPPV" thing might force ROH to make big moves more quickly, with SB in their ears....Big Red Machine wrote:I think it is meant as setting up a way for Jay to drop the belt, and the injury is a great reason to build up the rematch as seeming like Jay has a better chance of winning when he eventually comes back.badnewzxl wrote:Gotta call him on drinking that Crown, tho; you a southern boy, you gotta get some Bourbon, SoCo, or Jack, baby!

Re: Jay Briscoe addresses ROH and Nigel McGuinness
Final Battle was WAY too long to wait with Jay as champ. I really don't see either Briscoe as a singles star and was extremely surprised that Jay actually retained at Border Wars. I doubt he was ever going to hold the belt past either the Toronto iPPV or Manhattan Mayhem V, which is two weeks later.badnewzxl wrote:I'd be cool with that; I just hope they don't rush it with Cole.
