OPENING SEGMENT- FAN-F*CKING-TASTIC!
Everyone hit a complete and total home run here! Major props to Del Rio for still selling his leg, too.
THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS vs. TEAM HELL NO- pointless squash. This would have been perfectly fine if they had just used some jobbers or if they had given the match some time. Squashing PTP doesn’t do anything for Hell No and just hurts PTP.
THE SHIELD PROMO- awesome
WADE BARRETT vs. SANTINO MARELLA- 3/10
BOOKER T, TEDDY LONG, SHEAMUS, & RANDY ORTON BACKSTAGE- there is definitely some stuff brewing here between Teddy and Booker. They have me intrigued. What doesn’t have me intrigued, though, is putting two top babyfaces in a handicap match against on heel.
THE BELLA TWINS & TAMINA vs. THE FUNKADACTYLS & KAITLYN- 0.5/10
A short, pointless match with a weak finish. At least Kaitlyn looked strong.
TRIPLE H, 3MB, SHEILD, & TEAM HELL NO STUFF- decent. I enjoyed The Shield beating up 3MB because 3MB is basically what The Shield would be if they weren’t booked correctly.
BIG SHOW & BOOKER T SEGMENT- decent, aside from Big Show saying “biased towards me” when he meant “biased against me.”
HANDICAP MATCH: The Big Show vs. Randy Orton & Sheamus- DUD!
All this match do was made me feel sorry for the Big Show and root for him to win.
SHEAMUS PROMO & MARK HENRY ATTACKING SHEAMUS- good, although I popped when I saw someone jump Sheamus, but I was disappointed when it wasn’t Big Show… and when I of all people am rooting for the heel, you know you have done something wrong.
ANTONIO CESARO vs. KOFI KINGSTON- 4.25/10
ANOTHER F*CKING LOSS FOR CLAUDIO! WHAT THE F*CK? Why did they even make him champion if they were just going to job him out all the time?
RAW RECAP- this has to be THE WORST case of doctoring fan reaction in the history of pro wrestling. To make matters worse, the first three minutes of this recap were entirely unnecessary to show us Ryback attacking Cena
CHRIS JERICHO vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Big E. Langston & AJ Lee)- 6.5/10
Not good enough for a main event. Yeah, Fandango distracted Jericho both at the finish and afterwards, but he was never the one who actually put Jericho down in any way. He is just a dancing chump. Like Stevie Richards in ECW, but a lot less entertaining.
Overall, this episode of Smackdown started off great but went downhill at some point and mostly stayed there.

maybe you're turning heel on yourself! man, you really really hate fandango, don't you? anyway, 6.5 sounds good enough for a main event in smackdown.Big Red Machine wrote: CHRIS JERICHO vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Big E. Langston & AJ Lee)- 6.5/10

I just can't stand him. I don't see anything at all in the gimmick or the booking, so why waste time on TV with him?cero2k wrote:man, you really really hate fandango, don't you? anyway, 6.5 sounds good enough for a main event in smackdown.Big Red Machine wrote: CHRIS JERICHO vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/Big E. The rule I made for myself a while ago was that 7 is the minimum acceptable for a main event (though I guess something like Superstars is another story). Maybe I need to reevaluate.

i actually agree with this, but i sadly think that you're usually gonna get disappointed with WWE and TNA, sometimes ROh can't eitherBig Red Machine wrote:cero2k wrote:

I don't think it is in issue of "can't." I think (especially in ROH and TNA's case) it is an issue of "won't." People don't give their main events anywhere near enough time, and with ROH and WWE it is usually because they have random pointless matches that take up too much time.cero2k wrote:i actually agree with this, but i sadly think that you're usually gonna get disappointed with WWE and TNA, sometimes ROh can't eitherBig Red Machine wrote:cero2k wrote:

yeah, definitely, it's about won't. but you can't really expect the weekly show of ANY promotion to give you a 7/10 match and also expect the same thing on a PPV. if you are expecting a 7/10 for a weekly show, then you should expect at least a 9/10 for PPVs.Big Red Machine wrote: I don't think it is in issue of "can't." I don't think there is that much of a difference, between what I expect quality-wise from a TV main event and a PPV one. It is more overall show-quality that I expect from a PPV.cero2k wrote:yeah, definitely, it's about won't. but you can't really expect the weekly show of ANY promotion to give you a 7/10 match and also expect the same thing on a PPV. if you are expecting a 7/10 for a weekly show, then you should expect at least a 9/10 for PPVs.Big Red Machine wrote: I don't think it is in issue of "can't."
