I guess you are right about the video packages. Maybe it just felt that way to me.badnewzxl wrote:How many? I saw two; and they weren't very long. There was almost NO backstage stuff and Diddy only used about seven to ten mins. Compared to last year and the year before, the there was VERY little fluff and most of the show was matches in the ring. There was no backstage segment with Diddy holding some American Idol ripoff (I enjoyed when Snoop did it, but I'd rather have wrestling at WM) and he was the ONLY guy there to perform a song (wasn't there two or three performers last year? Flo Rida, MGK, and someone else? in addition to video packages, promos, backstage stuff, AND WWE commercials).Big Red Machine wrote:It was definitely oversaturated with video packages. They cut the most useless match, all the matches got decent time, and it wasn't saturated with celebrities and promos/video packages. Several wrestlers fought through injury and those matches were DAMN good. Everyone knew before Sunday that Cena and the Rock would be booed out of the building at WM; regardless of what they did. Still, the match had the fans paying attention; they were watching VERY closely, waiting for a chance to chant or boo.
My only gripe is with the Fandango match; I think they should've had the RAW match on WM and Fandango's debut should have been on last week's RAW; I just felt like him getting on the mic after the match last night was MUCH more of a payoff/WM moment than a small package victory in the shortest match on the card (If not the shortest, then the second shortest
I saw someone post that this was the worst WM in years and there is NO way that that is possible. IMO, A WM that spends most of the time WRESTLING, is def not a bad WM. I mean, I didn't even see where anyone could complain about the show itself; it lacked almost all the things we usually complain about at WMs and the one thing we all claim to want more of.
I think this WM was well executed/performed
From what I am seeing, there are a lot of people who didn't like Triple H vs. Lesnar particularly much and a lot of people who didn't like Rock vs. Cena particularly much. If you take those two matches away, it really becomes a one-match show, and everyone knew that Taker was going to win that one match.
