OPENING SEGMENT- DUD! This was just a monstrous waste of time. The status quo didn’t change, and no one actually thought Heyman was leaving.
MARK HENRY vs. THE GREAT KHALI (w/Hornswoggle & Natalya)- Squash. And we all knew it would be a squash. How bad is Khali? Bad enough that in the land of the giants, he is being used as a 400 pound jobber. On the bright side, Mark Henry hit Hornswoggle with the World’s Strongest Slam.
BOOKER T & JERICHO BACKSTAGE- Good. Especially because Booker yelled at Teddy “I serve no purpose on this show” Long. There is an angle developing there. Also… DRAGON vs. JERICHO!
PAUL HEYMAN & VICKIE GUERRERO BACKSTAGE- um… if Vince was able to fire Heyman a few weeks ago, why didn’t he just fire him here?
CHRIS JERICHO vs. DANIEL BRYAN- 6.75/10
Good match. I would have had Jericho win via roll-up, though, to keep Dragon looking stronger going into the chamber on Sunday.
3MB vs. SHEAMUS, JOHN CENA, & RYBACK- decent squash.
Decent promos by all three guys after the match.
BIG SHOW PUNCHES OUT YOSHI TATSU & SOME OTHER GUY- okay
BIG SHOW PUNCHES OUT MATT STRIKER- Odds are they have probably already forgotten about everyone getting in trouble for attacking announcers last year, so odds are there won’t be any consequences for this. Michael Cole says he has “never seen Big Show” like this. You would think he would remember Show throwing Kurt Angle off of a ledge.
ZACK RYDER vs. JACK SWAGGER (w/Zeb Coulter)- yet another squash.
Oh. Okay. It’s Dutch Mantell. I would have marked out a lot more if they had him using his Uncle Zebekiah ring-name. This entrance was also just really awkward. Jack didn’t even so much as look at Dutch. I wasn’t even sure he realized Dutch was following him.
Swagger is now calling his Ankle Lock the Patriot Act. I love it!
ZEB COULTER PROMO- NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
First of all, I don’t think this gimmick will work. Second of all, I want to see Jack as a babyface. Third of all, RJ Brewer called and he wants his gimmick bad.
BOOKER T (& Teddy Long) TALKS TO DOLPH & FRIENDS BACKSTAGE- Well… it looks like we’re getting Jericho vs. Ziggler at Mania. Booker T makes Kane vs. Ziggler for later tonight with the winner getting into the chamber. In related and sad news, it looks like
THE MIZ vs. CODY RHODES (w/Antonio Cesaro)- eh segment.
BRODUS CLAY & TENSAI (w/the Funkadactyls) vs. PRIMO & EPICO (w/Rosa Mendes)-YET ANOTHER SQUASH! GRRR! I did pop for Naomi & Cameron taking out Rosa, though.
SHIELD PROMO- Great promo. Then we got to the brawl…. Which I hated. The babyfaces shouldn’t jump the heels in a fair fight, and the lights going off things is becoming so damn annoying.
DAMIEN SANDOW vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/Ricardo Rodriguez)- YET ANOTHER DAMN SQUASH
This is really starting to piss me off. Sandow’s pre-match promo was good, though.
BO DALLAS JUMPS WADE BARRETT BASCKSTAGE- good
KOFI KINGSTON vs. WADE BARRETT- 3.5/10
Very good for a four minute match.
WINNER GETS INTO THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH FOR A SHOT AT THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AT WRESTLEMANIA: Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/AJ Lee & Big E. Langston)- 6.5/10
Not good enough for a main event, but I am so happy that I was wrong. KANE FOR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Yeah, I know it won’t happen, but I can hope, can’t I?
THE ROCK PROMO- great
THE ROCK & CM PUNK BRAWL- good segment. Punk really needed to come out on top here, and I’m glad that he did. Walking out with the title was eh. I might be more excited if we hadn’t seen this recently in two other companies.
Overall, a very up and down episode of Raw. There were some very good matches here, but most of the other matches got no time whatsoever and were squashes. It got to the point where it was extremely annoying. This also wasn’t particularly good as a go-home show since (at least according to Cero’s pick’ems, anyway) there are a few matches for the PPV which this show didn’t even mention… and this was only a six-match PPV!

Re: BRM Reviews the 2/11/2013 Raw
The only reason this existed was because WWE wanted to make a lame reference to the Pope quitting earlier that day. However, did anyone notice Punk's eyes during the hug? I thought he was gonna GTS Heyman right there.Big Red Machine wrote:OPENING SEGMENT- DUD! This was just a monstrous waste of time. Did you watch the Naomi and Cameron vs Tamina and Aksana in Main Event?? I haven't, but i heard it was pretty good for Diva's standards.Big Red Machine wrote: BRODUS CLAY & TENSAI (w/the Funkadactyls) vs. PRIMO & EPICO (w/Rosa Mendes)-YET ANOTHER SQUASH! GRRR!
