BRM Reviews the 2/4/2012 Raw
CM PUNK PROMO- I really hate Punk being delusional, although his point about Vince being rich and vindictive enough to be able to frame Heyman was good. How awesome would it be if he had claimed that Vince brought in Lou E. Dangerously to frame Heyman?
Then Booker T comes out (apparently Vickie just decided to let Booker deal with this, which, IMO, is out of character for Vickie) and then do a Raw Active poll to decide Punk’s opponent tonight.
RANDY ORTON PROMO- good
RYBACK vs. ANONIO CESARO- 4/10
NO! Champions shouldn’t lose unless it is going to mean something I can’t see Ryback going after the US Title, so this match doesn’t mean anything! There is no reason for Cesaro to have been put in this spot.
REY PROMO- Bad. Just compare this to Orton’s. Both were basically “I beat Punk once before, and I can beat him again,” but while Orton talked about beating Punk on a big stage in this same city, Rey talked about the fact that he was only person to beat Punk with a specific set of stips when a) he is the only one to have ever had the opportunity to face Punk with those stips in places, and b) those stips aren’t actually in place tonight!
CENA & VICKIE BACKSTAGE- this felt way too scripted, especially Vickie’s part.
JERICHO PROMO- good
SANTINO MARELLA vs. JACK SWAGGER- AWESOME squash! Swagger was just freakin’ VICIOUS here!
ALBERTO DEL RIO vs. CODY RHODES- DUD!
This was over way too fast. It completely buried Cody. Normally I might not give something like this a dud, but what puts it over the top for me is that I’m pretty sure Del Rio just tried to start a “SI!” chant. Gimmick infringement is NOT COOL!
ALBERTO DEL RIO PROMO- okay. I like it when someone apologizes for being a jackass while they were a heel but he laid it on too think here at times. The stuff with Big Show was decent.
KANE & DRAGON BACKSTAGE- good
REY MYSTERIO JR vs. DANIEL BRYAN- 5/10
Short but good. Dragon getting a win is also important for some momentum going into Elimination Ch-MARK F*CKING HENRY IS BACK AND HE IS DESTROYING PEOPLE AGAIN! YES!
DRAGON & KANE BACKSTAGE AGAIN- Yeah, I’m really not a fan of Kane randomly being a douche.
BIG SHOW ORDERS ROOM SERVICE- so the whole point of this segment was so Big Show could use a clichéd joke? Why would you put this on the air?
SHEAMUS vs. KANE- 4/10
Dragon screws Kane, which I assume means we will be getting Dragon vs. Kane at Mania.
During this match we learned that Booker T has decided to put Kane in the Elimination Chamber match. After just one singles win and one tag team loss. Is THAT what impresses Booker? Really?
MIZ TV WITH PAUL HEYMAN- eh segment
Why is Heyman still employed? If Vince was going to fire Heyman (and he was) why hasn’t he fired Heyman at any point during this past week? Miz was really obnoxious here. The Vickie stuff was good and the Brock stuff was also good, but as a whole I really just didn’t enjoy this.
Bo Dallas’ smile is so damn goofy. It makes me want to punch him. If I had seen him smile before last month I would have used someone else in my fantasy booking instead.
WADE BARRETT vs. RANDY ORTON- 4.5/10
Too damn short! And I’m pretty sure Randy has now recently beaten both midcard champs.
CM PUNK vs. CHRIS JERICHO- 7.75/10
Best televised wrestling match so far this year.
BRUNO SAMMARTINO WILL BE INDUCTED INTO THE HOF- COOL BEANS!
MATT STRIKER INTERVIEWS CM PUNK- good
DEL RIO ATTACKS BIG SHOW IN HIS HOTEL ROOM- At least they came up with a kayfabe reason for there to be a camera in the hotel room this time. This was decent until Show got knocked out by just one swing of a fire extinguisher.
CLOSING SEGMENT- good. I liked Maddox trying to take credit for being the “hero” who exposed the Shield-Heyman connection. I also really liked the Shield being forced into a fair fight and retreating. The babyfaces get a win, but not a complete one.
Overall, an okay epsidoe of Raw. It had some good stuff on it, but it had a lot of matches featuring up-and-coming guys losing WAY too quickly.

Re: BRM Reviews the 2/4/2012 Raw
Del RIo has been and also the crowd, chanting Si before last night. You must not have noticed.
Cesaro losing does mean something...This isn't random at all and there's no reason to use someone else for 'this spot' ,its maybe been more on Main Event but these two have been feuding a bit now. I also hated Cole's "Magical Herbs" comment, He's not smokin green, So therefore that was just stupid and made Cesaro look it as well if he supposedly said that.
That ankle lock is now The Patriot Act...Interesting , I suppose, But I don't think it means he's turning to face Cesaro for the US like so many ppl are damn near clamoring for.
And yea really,WTF ,,,Why on Earth would you bury the man in his first televised match on his own again...He's also got no reason to keep the mustache now either...I really don't think this version of Cody will get far unless he does.
No random jackassery from Kane, at all...They just can't along, in many many ways . This is very good to me personally because these things like this are what got me interested in this story in the very beginning...Plus to me it signified Kane becoming somewhat of his old self again with the coldness and laugh...Like you really would expect the old Kane to be, Sentimental?
One win so far has been the EXACT thing that impresses him enough to get in the chamber, for every guy so far, actually.
More of Heyman denying any involvement I see, this time its Lesnar.
Yep. Orton has beaten both Mid card champs, one each in two weeks. So because its Orton they're ignoring the rule about beat the champ get a shot? Makes perfect sense.
Only thing I didn't like about Jericho-Punk was that at one point, Punk counters a Lionsault with the knees, then instantly,as if it never happened, Jericho goes for the Walls. Unless He countered the counter in a way I missed, that made no sense.
Somethin odd that struck me about the Del Rio attack, Was that on SD He came with a bat, knowing he might need an equalizer of sorts...but this...Especially since he should be just as if not madder, he comes empty -handed...I really was EXPECTING Del RIo to come with bat in hand or somethin...
Too me it seemed too long that Cena took to come out, whether it was Maddox gettin jumped or not...Why wouldn't golden boy Cena rush to his defense immediately ?

I liked the segment for what it was, everyone did a great job with their stuff, but at the same time, i don't see what was the point of this unless Lesnar is to kill Miz at ECBig Red Machine wrote:

1) I was marking out for Maddox getting himself in the middle of the main segment of the night and stepping up to Shield. I actually had a wet dream that Maddox would turn out to be an amazing wrestler and defend himself against the three. Still he took on the three and this really needs to be addressed by someone later on as a big babyface move.Big Red Machine wrote: CLOSING SEGMENT- good. 2) Is it me, or does Maddox sounds like Bane from The Dark Knight Rises
3) If the shield are actually guns for hire, someone needs to explain some of the attacks like Foley, Sheamus, Team Hell No.

that's exactly what happened, it's happen beforeKILLdozer wrote:

Re: BRM Reviews the 2/4/2012 Raw
I still think 3 was simple Injustice...Even if guns for hire, Still....A kid like Maddox shouldn't have had to face Sheamus, Punk shouldn't have been forced to face Hell No, Foley I can't exactly remember what happened around it, Other than lack of respect.cero2k wrote:I liked the segment for what it was, everyone did a great job with their stuff, but at the same time, i don't see what was the point of this unless Lesnar is to kill Miz at ECBig Red Machine wrote:

Re: BRM Reviews the 2/4/2012 Raw
looking back at this segment, aside from the stuff between rock and punk/heyman, this has been one of the best promos this year. i may have forgotten about a lot of them, but this was good.Big Red Machine wrote:
