With the Royal Rumble three days away, WWE has only officially announced 11 names of the 30 competing in this year's Royal Rumble. Those men, as listed on WWE.com, are:

3. Dolph Ziggler

6. Ryback
7. The Miz
8. Wade Barrett
9. Heath Slater
10. Jinder Mahal

Now, speculating from the schmoz that closed out Raw this week, the unofficial entrants:

I think that's everybody. Assuming these gentlemen are participating, we've got 3 open slots this year.

There's three members of The Shield... WWE's rumored to have reached out to Shelton Benjamin and MVP... Mysterio and Sin Cara have been off TV for some time (although, Cara's injured isn't he?)... Christian was aiming to be back for The Rumble...

So many possibilities! Who do you think gets them?

I think you got the list mostly right, but I think that the three open slots will be saved for nostalgia guys. I thought I read somewhere that Billy Gunn was pretty much a lock for a nostalgia spot this year, and I think that, if Billy is going to be there, they will give Road Dogg a spot, too.

Going out on a limb, I can see a one-night-only return for John Morrison here.

We all know that fan-girl squeals are loud, but I didn't think they'd be able to make it all the way from Alberta to wherever Dozer's lair is.

I never thought of Morrison! That's intriguing.

The Rumble match has been overshadowed a bit by Rock vs Punk, and I can't help but think that they're gonna go big on a surprise. I'm thinking Christian returns early (around #10), maybe we'll see Shelton or MVP, but in the 20's I'm looking for somebody like Batista or Jericho to return for a 'Mania run.

For nostalgia sake, beyond The NAO's who are rumored, I think Terry Funk would be fun.

Has TNA lost anyone noteworthy that WWE could bring in for the hell of it? Weren't they jonesing for Alex Shelly or Chris Sabin?

Shelley, but he's in Japan right now (or so i believe).
Some other names could be Nash, Steiner, Waltman

As noted yesterday here on the website, former Intercontinental and tag team champions Carlito and Shelton Benjamin are both in Phoenix, Arizona and are scheduled to take part in the 30 man Royal Rumble match. Both men are in Scottsdale, Arizona for an independent wrestling event this weekend. The indy show is less than 30 minutes from the US Airways Center in Phoenix.

It is not yet known if both men are back full-time with the WWE but both are reported to be booked for the Rumble match. Benjamin was released from the WWE on April 22, 2010 and he has been working in ROH and other smaller companies since then. Carlito was last seen on WWE TV in May 2010 before he was released due to a wellness violation and his refusal to seek medical help.

I don't see them using Nash as a surprise entrant again. Also, I'm pretty sure I read an interview where Nash said he was very happy with his match with Hunter at TLC was perfectly happy to have that be his last match.
