Briscoes First Two Title Defenses Set

Post by Big Red Machine » Dec 19th, '12, 11:13

First in Baltimore against Coleman and Alexander, then, if they retain, they will face the American Wolves in Detroit. Thoughts?

I don't think the Briscoes have ever faced C&C in a match that was given time, and we haven't gotten wolves vs. Briscoes since July 2010. It think it is fine. I'm just disappointed with the booking of this whole thing. At this point I really don't care about the Briscoes having the belts. I would much rather have had SCUM retain at Final Battle then had them build C&C up to the point where people cared about their title chase and had them take the belts off of SCUM.

true, but to be honest, pretty much ever single title match since Steen won, and even a little before has been like this. not a lot of buildup, just throwing matches out there. You rarely expect titles to change when the contenders are just announced in advanced with no real story behind it. At this point i really wanna watch those matches, but i don't care about the title at all

I definitely hear that. The only times since Border Wars that I have ever felt that I title change was possible recently were matches at Final Battle and then Steen vs. Elgin at GBH.
