I'm not. They cut cool promos but their matches always suck.

My thinking was that it had to be their year. Ultramantis and Hallowicked (and Frightmare I guess) deserved it, and nobody else really struck me as someone who could. Quack wouldn't put his own team over, the Joshi's winning didn't seem feasible, the Throwbacks weren't winning with Matt Classic, neither Team WWF or the Faces of Fear or Team Extreme were going over (they were novelties and there would be no benefit to them winning), 3.0 and Akuma isn't big enough and the pairing is a little too random, both teams of ants wouldn't get along and there's no way Chikara would give us the story of "well they fluked their way into winning KOT", Kikutaro's team was a definite no, F.I.S.T. wasn't winning again, and the Submission Squad? Well they ended up not even wrestling. It only leaves the Spectral Envoy and Team ROH, and from there I assumed KOT being such a big deal (a bigger deal this year more than any other year because their popularity has skyrocketed), I went with the technicos because, again, they deserved it more.

See, I thought that 3.0 & Akuma had to do well because at least one of Wink's creations need to do well in order for him to have some kayfabe credibility in the eyes of the CHIKARA Board of Directors or whatever, and because they had been on a massive win-streak. I thought that Team ROH would go far because they have the tag champs, and because (although this seems to have been forgotten), CHIKARA had been subtly portraying the Bucks as ROH guy taking the CHIKARA titles, and for that reason, Team ROH had to be kept strong so that they could lose in the blow-off

As for the Throwbacks, I thought they would win because Matt Classic wasn't added to the team for comedy reasons. He was added for a storyline reason: Because Mr. Touchdown wanted his own pick, not Sugar Dunkerton, leading to a split with two teams of Throwbacks, and using Classic instead of Dasher would be justified by winning KOT. Also, Mr. Touchdown has so much momentum behind him, and Dasher had a lot recently, too.

good reasoning on all of them, but even then, like redson said, i think the batiri had more things going on with Delirious back.

Your reasoning behind 3.0 & Akuma is exactly why I DIDN'T think they would win. I don't think Wink is supposed to have any credibility. You're right about Team ROH but again I didn't think heels would go over this year.

And I see your reasoning for the Throwbacks, but still, Matt Classic winning King of Trios? Lol come on. That's like if the Sea Amigos went to the finals. Touchdown and Hatfield do have momentum, but no way were they winning with Classic, storyline or not. Also, they don't need KOT.

The Batiri also had momentum with Delirious, but they're not at that level yet and again, they didn't need KOT. Not yet.
