ROH Road Rage
This sh*t has to stop. Why should anyone pay for the iPPVs if you are going to show all of the major matches in their entirety just a few weeks later? With all of the other problems people have been having with ROH iPPVs like the bad production qualities, giving the major matches away for free a few weeks later will kill the iPPVs. Doing it for a match or two from a regular show is fine, but they have been overdoing that, too. They have show the four major matches from the recent West Virginia show, too! If I have already seen the World Title match, the big, super-hyped gimmick blow-off, the match that is supposed to make Mondo look like a star, and a match between two upper mid-card guys (and leave them up on youtube), why should I buy the DVD?

well, when you buy the iPPVs, you own them for life (right?).
WWE releases their PPV's on DVD a month after they happen; why order a WWE PPV?

With the new ROH system, you own them for a year.badnewzxl wrote:well, when you buy the iPPVs, you own them for life (right?).

As for your WWE analogy, WWE is releasing those shows on a DVD, which you also have to pay for. This is ROH giving matches away on free TV. If the card were a bit more impressive, I might have been tempted to buy Boiling Point 2012, but now I realize that, odds are we are going to get at least two of the matches from the top half of the card for free anyway, so it has absolutely killed any chance of me buying the show.

I see what you're saying now. I was wondering if you'd own the ppv now that it's on ROH.com; that sucks. I haven't ordered a show of their's since they left GFL...Big Red Machine wrote:With the new ROH system, you own them for a year.badnewzxl wrote:well, when you buy the iPPVs, you own them for life (right?).

i wanna believe this is a temporal thing while a broadcasting company like sinclair can figure out how to actually broadcast a show without f'n up.

There were no f*ck-ups in Best in the World (at least not that I heard about).cero2k wrote:i wanna believe this is a temporal thing while a broadcasting company like sinclair can figure out how to actually broadcast a show without f'n up.

i couldn't say, didn't watch it live, but they still had some production problems with recaps and stuff. but they've been running tests, so i'm guessing this is just another one.Big Red Machine wrote:There were no f*ck-ups in Best in the World (at least not that I heard about).cero2k wrote:i wanna believe this is a temporal thing while a broadcasting company like sinclair can figure out how to actually broadcast a show without f'n up.
