WWE: money in the bank and how to alienate fans the easy way

Post by RedSon » Jul 15th, '12, 21:42

after watching money in the bank, some things i need to get off my chest. a lot of mitb spoilers if you didn't watch

i've been ranting about this for a while, but once again, the wwe title match got pushed back, not only for the cena match, but for ryback and the diva's match?? fuck, if wwe doesn't want punk or sheamus main eventing, just give the title back to cena let's get it over with. what the fuck is so bad about punk closing the show dammit!! wwe hasn't changed a bit, that 'reality era' shit, it never happened, nothing has changed!! we still get the same crap we used to get before, the same super heroes, the better wrestlers filling out spots and putting 'superstars' over. i can already see triple h vs lesnar main eventing summerslam.

which brings me to the wwe mitb match. for starters, why is this match even taking place? does the wwe writing team suck so bad that they can't even book an already established wrestler to a main event spot!? really? do you remember those things called no 1 contenders match!!? second, i don't care if cena wins, it was sooo predictable, but why the fuck doesn't it have to be a joke!!? i read in a column here some days ago that everything in wwe is a joke, IT IS!!! super cena from 06 07 is back, why can't he simply outpower, over recover and win the match like he usually does, why does it have to be a joke and a fluke that he won the briefcase ?

lawler, i fucking hate lawler. punk may be the voice of the voiceless, but lawler is the voice of every little 10 yr old mark. i hate that every wwe legend HAS to be a baby face, and so lawler haaas to be a baby face. i heard comments tonight like "oh, imagine ziggler winning" "oh god now, alberto can't win this" WHY THE FUCK NO!? you're a babyface, i get that, but his remarks make it seem like it's a bad thing, if ziggler wins, it's because he was the best in the match, if del rio wins, it's because he was better than sheamus, suck it up lawler, as bad as an announcer booker is, he is by far more bearable than you.

this brings me to another point. the divas match. let me gets this clear, i like the divas match, all 5 minutes of it, but there was a comment that i heard from lawler that got me pissed off and it is the perfect example why the divas division sucks soo bad. lawler, in his usual lawler nonsense mode, he was on and off about how the divas looked, how they're hot, and eventually said "i like such and such" THAT is the problem with the divas, not even their own company can sell that this chicks are wrestlers and that what they do in the ring is their craft. lawler and company only talk about them regarding their looks and whether one is being a bitch this week. how can the wwe universe note the amount of talent in that match if you only point out how hot the divas are!!

next point. the tag match. primo and epico lost their title shot due to not cashing it. it's been a month since the prime time players got their shot, are we also gonna waste that one?? why can we simply have that match already and get it over with! it's not like anyone is dying for that match. is the wwe really that stupid that they can't see past that match and so they don't wanna book it? it's easy, have a rematch, don't like it? pass the torch to reks and hawkins who are far over than any team in wwe right now. it's come to a point where i don't think anything ever happens in wwe,
- aj still tweening between punk and bryan
- ryback is still killing jobbers (the jump to signed jobbers makes no difference)
- tag team storyline still sucks
- super cena is still super cena
- beth is still the weakest diva apparently.

nothing ever changes. look at ziggler. wwe had to give him the mitb briefcase because they're so scared of pushing someone new and soo scared that their baby sheamus may look weak if he loses to someone like ziggler, oh god no, we can't have that. now they're gonna waste a briefcase push on someone who is already over with the crowd, simply because they're scared of having sheamus lose, unless of course if has been previously killed by a nuclear bomb, then maybe he can be pinned.

one last thing, i promise. i'm anticipating that cena will challenge punk for the title at summerslam, and since super cena is back, he will most likely win. do we really need this? if cena wins, i'm honestly gonna go crazy, i won't stop watching, but it seems like after that ray of light that came from the punk shoot, from guys like cesaro debuting, from bryan and punk winning the titles. that light will die if cena wins the title at summerslam.

right now, the only thing i'm really happy about is that on thursday, i get to watch tna. that is how painfully annoyed i am of wwe. tna is the best show in television right now. no argument.

sorry for the rant, i can sleep tight now.

I agree with a lot of what you have said, but I think I can explain away at least one thing. I also dislike that the MITB match got put over the WWE Title match, but the reason for the Divas match and Ryback being put after it was because WWE likes to have a break between matches they think the crowd will be ultra-hot for in order to let the crowd calm down (this is why the Snooki match went on between Cena-Miz and Triple H-Taker at WM26).

As for the way Cena won... I'm not sure how intentional that was. It seemed like his celebration went on a little longer than necessary. I think he was supposed to knock Show down, then unhook it.

my problem wasn't as much as winning like he did, but how he reacted. that face he did got me so pissed off for some reason.

I think that was just John's natural reaction to something that wasn't exactly supposed to happen that way.

it was catering to the cena fans, i understand that, it just got in my nerve to end the show on a fluke
