* All Things WrestleMania *

Post by e-moose » Mar 27th, '12, 13:02

WrestleMania XXVIII is fast approaching and I've created this topic for us to discuss all things WrestleMania. Express your thoughts, make predictions, play the booker, tell us your opinion of what should happen vs. what likely will happen, etc. If anything WrestleMania-related is on your mind, post it here! :)

This is super-weird. I'm 100% locked in on Sheamus, Punk, Undertaker but I'm 100% completely unsure about all the rest. :-?

Rock/Cena lemme tell ya, there will be no clean finish there, no chance in hell. Eve (and possibly Zack) will be somehow involved but how it will all go down I really can't say. In fact the whole Cena/Eve/Zack storyline (which for some reason Kane has been removed from) could go anywhere and I'm really curious but can't predict where it's all going to go. 8-}

WWE please make this Kane/Orton feud result in a Kane/Orton heel tag-team! Scary but awesome! :ymdevil:

Re: Cody vs. Big Show: My first thought was obviously Cody Rhodes should win. Then on second thought, WWE may be planning for Cody to finally be pushed to the highest level, which would best be done with him no longer having the Intercontinental title. Then on third thought, when Sheamus wins the gold on Sunday, he's not gonna hold it for one month, he's gonna hold it for at least 6. Would they have Cody Rhodes challenge and defeat C.M. Punk at this point? OK maybe Cody's time in the top teir is not quite here yet but I bet it is by the end of the year. OK so Rhodes likely will successfully defend at WM.

Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy... whoever wins this, I really don't think it's gonna be the end of this feud, and the position of RAW and Smackdown GM will not yet be written in stone.

I must also add that re: the Divas match, I hope Natalya and Alicia Fox interfere and then Kharma shows up and squashes absolutely everyone. Let's face it they deserve it. :))

...and one more thing! No Funk-a-saurus at WrestleMania??? That character is made for WrestleMania! Brodus should have been booked for the opening match on PPV, squashing somebody in 1 minute. It would have created a great celebratory mood to kick things off especially for the casual fans out there.

I heard that too. His squashing people for months is getting a bit old. If they're limiting him because they're worried he might hurt someone then he shouldn't be on the main roster. If they're just limiting him to squashes then they need to flush the toilet cuz that sh*t is stale.

The funniest part is that the mask he is wearing in that cartoon looks a lot like a blue Tiger Mask mask.

So far I think The card doesn't have enough matches. Keep in mind, I haven't watched Raw this week so I'm not sure if any have been added.

I don't think the undercard is beefed up enough. Cody v Show, Orton v Kane, Team Long V Team Ace, The Divas match. Thats it. The rest are 'Main Events". The two title matches, Rock v Cena and Triple H v Taker.

IMO They should at least have the tag titles on the line in a match to get more stars on the main show and have another non-world-title title match.

Fully agreed. The tag titles being defended at WM used to be standard.

I think the card will be filled out with a squash and possibly a last minute (unannounced) tag team title match. But honestly the card is so stacked they need time for the main events, so I'm not so worried about not having many matches.

There's no way Cena vs. Rock will have a screwy finish. It's not the kind of match that would have one, plus there's no real storyline that they would pursue that would benefit from a screwy finish if that makes sense. Having Ryder or something interfere would taint it so badly it's not even funny. It's like if Hogan vs. Rock had a messed up finish. They won't do it.

So the latest stuff is that there will be a dark triple threat tag team match for the belts BUT they'll stream it live on WWE.com. Personally i think thats a fantastic idea, i know some people will complain that it's a dark match but at least people will be able to see it.

Plus theres a possibility that Brock Lesnar will be on hand for the show, i'm quite curious to see what they'll do with him.

I'm also assuming there will be a swerve or something in either Trips/Taker or Rock/Cena since they're talking about a big announcement regarding WM 29 on RAW.

Hopefully they'll set up Lesnar as Undertaker's challenger one year from now. Lesnar will lose that match of course but that match would be a huge PPV sell! In fact I can't think of a better Undertaker opponent going into next year unless maybe Goldberg showed up.

Rock vs. Cena ONCE IN A LIFETIME!!! Nope. Twice in a lifetime. I predict that Cena will get a (through no fault of his own) tainted victory and we'll see a Rock vs. Cena re-match one year from now, quite possibly with a full-heel Cena. (B.T.W. I'm choosing a tainted Cena victory rather than a tainted Rock victory because a tainted Cena victory will serve the purpose of turning even more fans against John Cena.)

I've also settled on Team Teddy, only due to the fact that Johnny has a lawyer and Teddy does not. I still insist that this G.M. feud is far from over. Nothing will be fully settled at WrestleMania. Even if Team Teddy gets a fully clean victory, the story can still be written where Otunga finds some grounds for appeal, and this is why I pick Team Teddy to win.

Teddy is getting the upper hand far too much to walk out of Mania as the winner. Plus i doubt they'll take Laurinaitis out of the GM role even for a week or two. He's losing his heat though which is why he NEEDS to win tomorrow.

I'm agreeing with Bret Hart that Sheamus has WAY too much momentum. I think he's gonna charge right off a cliff.

And I think a loss for Bryan would kill all his steam while Sheamus could still very well recover from a loss.
I'm thinking maybe an AJ heel turn would be good. Like she was all too aware and was just waiting for an opportune
moment to show she's on the same page as Bryan. Also his influence is pushing her to a Divas title win which helps to motivate her intervention.
