I heard a rumour that they de-masked Kane because WWE was sick off independant companys ripping him off saying "Kane" worked for them.

Does anyone know if theres any truth behind this??

No truth at all. Glenn Jacobs has said that de-masking was his idea because he thought he had gone as far as he could go wit the mask on, and that keeping it limited his character's potential.
