Quite stupid isn't it? They should just drop the belts from existence because they help no one.

Forget about that: When has person of one gender winning another gender's title EVER worked?
Cody Deaner. Jacqueline in WWE. Jacqueline in WCW, Harvey Whippleman... Need I go on?

Chyna was unique because of her look.

When has a comedy jobber winning a title ever worked before?
Cody Deaner. Super Eric. Oklahoma.

I face palmed hard last week while i was watching, my shred of hope that they wouldn't do anything completely stupid burst in flames when Young fell on top of Gail. Horrible move by TNA if you ask me.

I'm not even blaming Eric Young. I think he's a great wrestler and talent.

Whoever is writing this crap should be strung up.

Definatley. TNA's getting too predictable. I knew ODB and Young would win it as soon as i saw it. And i knew Jeff HARDY would be Garretts partner just like i knew Hogan would be his training. Too predictable

This was the worst one of them all, simply because, RIGHT AFTER it was announcer that Kurt was going to be Gunner's partner, once Bishcoff mentioned that Garrett had no partner as of yet, the entire arena started chanting "HARDY! HARDY!" And Taz and Tenay still tried to play it up as if they had no idea who could possibly want to team with Garrett. It just made them look like idiots.

THIS!!!

Reminded me of when i went to Florida and saw TNA there. Sting was against Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett and each week he'd reveal clues to see who he might team with. On the episode we were at Sting tod the crowd these clues to his "mystery opponent". A fan in the crowd shouted "Its Rick Steiner" to which Scott Steiner said "its not my brother Rick" and then low and behold out came Rick Steiner!! =))

I knew you were going to have an issue with this. So did I. I actually facepalmed when they did this.

And it was so bad that me, the biggest Jeff Hardy mark on the face of the planet, didn't even care enough to watch the match.

apparently, you and I are the only ppl who've ever seen this happen before, lol. What are they spose to do? Give away the mystery? State the OBVIOUS? Then they'd be "spoiling" the whole thing, right?

It wasn't just the announcers. It was the blatant stupidity of the way they booked the whole thing. Seriously, if even the fans (most of which are paid to be there if I remember correctly) can figure out who it's gonna be, then you are WAY too predictable. And while I like routine, I have to agree with Teddy Long when he said "There's nothing worse than predictable television."

And because I'm a dolt and didn't think to respond to both points at the same time...

I'm not saying I've not seen it happen before. But when I've seen it happen before my response has been the same. There are better ways to set up that kind of a tag match, rather than have two heels team up against one face and go "Alright, go pick your partner." Obviously the guy's gonna kayfabe pick the guy who one of the heels is feuding with at the time. If you really wanna set up that tag match, just announce it ahead of time and avoid the stupidity? Even setting it up like they always seem to do on Smackdown by having one heel start beating on his opponent, the other face comes to save the day, and the other heel comes out to beat on his guy. In my opinion (catch that guys? MY OPINION) that would even be a better way to arrange that. This way you're just insulting the fan's intelligence by having the announcers blatantly ignore the fact that even the fans in the audience know who it's gonna be, so the fans at home probably do to.

I wouldn't consider Too Cool or Disco Inferno to be comedy jobbers at all. Gillberg wasn't a jobber by definition. He kept winning. He was a comedy parody, but he wasn't a jobber. When Crash had the Hardcore Title, it was mostly a comedy title, too, but I will give you that one and Norman Smiley.

Its just good booking and kayfabe, and a good way to continue the feuds. Of course its going to be the guy theyre feuding with. Just because the fans can guess the logical choice doesnt make it bad. And yea, your opinion, what about it?

It's my opinion and I frequently get bashed on this site for sharing it. Which is why I don't post much.

I just think it's too predictable, therefore, I have no desire to watch it since I already know what's going to happen. And before you call me a hypocrite, it's not just this particular situation that makes me feel that way.
