We've been having this discussion here on the forum and I've gotten caught in arguments on other sites as well so I decided to post both promos.

Niether, they both irritate me. As far as I'm concerned the main event and attraction of Wrestlemania is going to be Punk v Jericho
Re: Rock v. Cena: LET'S GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE!
I'd like to point out that Rock complains that Cena left before Rock could slap him. Rock kept pacing and never said a word while Cena was out there. He didn't tell him to wait so he could say something to his face or at least while he was in the general vicinity, he waited until Cena was already backstage.
Rocks promo was as BRM pointed out, a spotfest. He said stuff to get the crowd to pop at certain moments. We see Dwayne Johnson everywhere and the only time we really see the Rock is when he steps between the ropes.

Re: Rock v. Cena: LET'S GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE!
Here's what I see: Cena is upset bc he thought the Rock meant he'd be back full time. Not only is that a silly thing to believe (considering he'd just signed a few new movie deals and already had a few other obligations to make), but it would also be a terrible idea (why take something special and make it just routine?). He said the Rock got his first taste of Hollywood and left? the Rock did four movies before he left the WWE; so first taste is incorrect (if your gonna nitpick about what the Rock says, you should do the same for Cena). He totes about being in the WWE every week like that makes him more deserved of our praise, too. Well, the Rock addressed that pretty clear: when the ppl don't want to see you, being there every week is NOT a good thing! The Rock explained it perfectly by using himself as an example; he was in the VERY SPOT CENA IS IN NOW! The guy is speaking from experience. Cena talks like Rock sold out; ok, so? Maybe it's just bc I watched wrestling when WWE wasn't the only big show around, but during the 90's, when anyone jumped to WCW or WWE (depending on what year it was) they were selling out. So in my mind, CENA is just as much of a sell out as Rock! If Punk didn't "sell out" (i.e. agree to get paid more money to work for an Entertainment company and entertain, rather than WRESTLE for a WRESTLING company) by joining WWE, then how could Rock have "sold out" by going to Hollywood (Acting for movie studios, rather than entertaining for the entertainment company)? WWE is as different from Pro wrestling as acting is from WWE.
Cena just comes off as jealous in this whole thing; he's mad that the Rock doesn't have to work as hard as he does to get the fans behind him. What he's ignoring is the fact that the Rock DID THAT, did it better than almost ANYONE ELSE in history, then went on and did EVEN MORE. the Rock's not going around saying he's the face of the WWE or touting how he made the company; he's just come back and thanked everyone....except John Cena, lol. Cena on the other hand, is going around trying to convince everyone that he's in the right and that HE's the WWE guy now; and he has to remind everyone of this bc (when the Rock's around) Cena is obsolete! There's a guy standing RIGHT there who has proven that he can do what you TRY to do every week without really even trying himself. I'd be ok with Cena if he'd just come out and say: "Yea; I'm jealous of the Rock. I'm jealous that the ppl show him loyalty and respect and he's not here for them; yet I'm chopped liver." But he doesn't say that; instead, he continues to try to make some college essay argument about why he's "the guy" and the Rock's not. Cena: you're 'the guy' bc the Rock isn't there. If he were, you wouldn't have your spot, pal.
Rabs, I was a little taken aback by Rock not getting in Cena's face there; but I think that might have been the part that was legit. I don't think Rock expected Cena to come at him that way; Rock did fumble with his words a bit after that. Thing about that is, it's just talk. Last time ANYTHING physical happened between the two, Rock dropped Cena and Cena scooted away up the ramp.
