KYLE O’REILLY vs. EDDIE EDWARDS- 6.5/10. I really enjoyed the match, but Eddie just plain stopped selling his leg for the second half of the match.

The pre-match promos weren’t bad… I just don’t care one lick about this angle. Build-wise, this really should have been the main event of this week’s show. This is the main angle in ROH right now. The Briscoes and the House Of Truth fighting over money is nowhere near as important as this.

AFTERMATH- eh. It wasn’t done poorly, but it wasn’t optimal, either. Also, why is Eddie so hurt by Davey teaming with Kyle all of a sudden? Does anyone else remember all of the fuss they made at the end of last year about it being the end of the American Wolves? So if the Wolves are over, what the hell is Eddie’s problem?

STEVE CORINO WILL NOW BE DOING COLOR COMMENTARY ON DVDS- hopefully he has improved in the last 9 years.

MATT TAVEN vs. MIKE MONDO- No rating. Eh segment. Steen comes out, cuts a promo against Cornette and gives both guys an F-5. I’m not liking Steen using the F-5. Steen is supposed to be trying to put people out. An F-5 just doesn’t look like the type of move for someone who’s fan’s are chanting “Kill, Steen. Kill!”

WGTT STUFF- Shelton doesn’t want to pay the fine, so he is suspended. Okay.

BRISCOES PROMO- bad.

MATCH WITH A $5,000 SIDE BET: The Briscoe Brothers vs. Roderick Strong & Michael Elgin (w/Truth Martini)- 6/10. Not good enough to be the main event. Cornette joined Kevin Kelly & Nigel on commentary for this match… so when Truth Martini threw power in Mark Briscoe’s eyes, you would assume that Cornette, being the Commissioner (or whatever he is, exactly) would do something about it… but no. He just kept calling the match like any other announcer would. Then Mark went to the back and came back a few seconds later with a baseball bat. Why was there a baseball bat randomly lying around? This is a wrestling arena, not a baseball stadium. Anyway, this wasn’t even close to being what I would expect from these two teams.

Overall, not a very good episode of ROH.

Why the hell isn't Steen using the Package Piledriver?

Last week Cornette banned all forms of the piledriver, using the excuse that it can end (or almost end) careers, citing Austin as a specific example. I really don't like this. As Nigel pointed out on commentary this week, a headbutt can be as dangerous as a chairshot to the head, in terms of concussions. Anything can hurt you a lot.
