BRM Reviews the 2/4/2012 ROH

NO TIME LIMIT MATCH FOR THE ROH TV TITLE: Jay Lethal(c) vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis & "Brutal" Bob Evans)- 6.25/10.

EDDIE EDWARDS & KYLE O'REILLY SEGMENT- good set up for next week

KEVIN STEEN & JIM CORNETTE SEGMENT- Steen was awesome. Cornette making fun of Steen for being fat was a ridiculous case of pot and kettle, to the point where I am extremely disappointed in Corny for not realizing this and finding something else to insult Steen about. Cornette bans all forms of piledrivers from ROH, including the package piledriver. I don't like this. It makes kayfabe sense, but it just seems lame. Anyway, I assume that this will eventually matter when Davey hits Steen with a DR Driver.

INSIDE ROH PROMOS- Truth Martini was good, The Briscoes... not so much. ANX were great.

YOUNG BUCKS PROMO- okay. Props to them for hitting on Veda, but if they were trying for the all-time sleaziest pick-up line in the history of ROH backstage segments, "how about we show you a little entertainment tonight?" is still miles away from Chris Sabin asking Daizee "how would you like to be the meat in a Motor City Sandwich?"

WRESTLING'S GREATEST TAG TEAM PROMO- okay

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Briscoe Brothers(c) vs. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)- no rating. Great segment. This built up the hate more, and gave Cornette a reason to be even more pissed off because of the chairshot to the head.

Overall, a pretty good show from ROH.
