God Bless Matt Hardy!!!
God Bless Matt Hardy...he's going to need it.
I grew up watching the Hardy's at the peak of their tag career in the late 90s and I loved them both. I was amazed at the pure athleticism and agility both brothers possessed. Today, things have changed completely. Jeff Hardy has gone from the fan-favorite "punk rocker kid" to a painted up, drug-infested "anti-Christ." Matt Hardy has gone from the vibrant, yet somewhat mysterious guy that he was to a jobless, and very unfortunate lunatic.
All this being said, I still have immense respect for Matt and Jeff. Jeff Hardy has been a World Champion in both WWE and TNA, has great athletic ability, and a very unique stlye of music. However, he drove himself down the wrong road. A road on which many wrestlers crash and burn...drugs. Unfortunately, while others have found the intervention that they needed, Jeff has seemingly already passed the "NO U-TURN" sign. He'll be serving some serious jail time. And with Jeff already in his 30s, his wrestling career might not continue after his release from prison.
Matt Hardy was once an energetic and lively character. Now he's an unemployed and deranged internet sensation. I've just heard that Matt has mantioned a full time return to wrestling. I just hope he chooses the right path. TNA or ROH may be the best places for Matt right now. All WWE is looking for is 20 year-old body builders to take the torch from Jericho, HHH, and other well-established wrestlers. Though, I must give WWE credit for letting the younger guys have some time in the spotlight and putting guys like Cena and Orton at the back of the line.
Matt has somehow gotten lost in the shuffle and it won't be long until he is put on the last shelf and forgotten along with guys like Trevor Murdoch, Carlito, Stevie Richards, Haas and Benjamin, Mark Jindrak, and so many others. Matt needs to go where his talent won't be wasted and where they'll actually allow him to be the REAL Matt Hardy. God Bless Matt Hardy!!!

WOOHOO!!!!! Someone agrees! Though I should have made it quite clear before...while I rant and rave about Matt's bad decisions (i.e. those insanely lame and crazy YouTube videos) I only do it because I am a huge fan and supporter. As noted, I grew up idolizing the Hardys and am quite angry with Jeff at the moment.757XTra-TesT wrote:DAMN RIGHT!!!
Matt, on the other hand, is making an effort to get back into wrestling. THANK GOD!!! WWE wasted Matt Hardy!
And thanks again 757XTra-TesT for agreeing. Now let's sit back and enjoy the next chapter in the Book of Mattitude...

Matt Hardy is very talented, but he made himself look like a real butt on the way out of WWE & therefore is someone I don't trust...

Sadly, you're right. He kind of screwed himself out of his job in WWE, despite creative not having anything for him at the time. I remember hearing about Matt being asked to improve on some things by officials and he got kinda cocky with them...not a good idea.ECWFlairfan wrote:Matt Hardy is very talented, but he made himself look like a real butt on the way out of WWE & therefore is someone I don't trust...
Though, I will always be a fan and a supporter of both Matt and Jeff, even during Jeff's sentence. Watching them over a decade ago, they symbolized almost everything my life came to be about - High risk, throwing caution to the wind, and Poetry in Motion...

Amen brother.
Touching on the whole WWE exit thing, while it wasn't a great way for Matt to leave, I truly believe that at the time he had no choice. He had his chances to leave in the past, yeah, but at that point where was he gonna go?
Jeff's spot in TNA cemented Matt a job there and we all know that's why he put such little effort into getting back into shape for his wrestling return.
But either way, I have always been a proud Mattitude Follower and a Jeff Hardy fan, and I always will be both of those things!

Matt was obviously past his boiling point with the WWE and I don't really blame him. He asked for his release and they refused, so he did what he had to do to get out. I think its lame of WWE not to grant Matt his release after all he'd done for the company and all he'd put up with (being fired while injured and subsequently losing his gf to a fellow performer, being punished for his brother's actions, and NEVER being pushed as a World title contender despite being one of the most popular guys WWE had). They could have at least give the man his release and not held him hostage like they did. I mean, they gave Angle his release with almost no problem at all and he was much more of a threat as far as drawing fans goes.
I'm no big fan of bitchin' and moanin' but when you've had enough, you've had enough....

I have always been a Huge Matt Fan!! And even though I haven't been that fond of TNA as of late I full heartedly understand that if he feels he can do better there he should stay there! I just Hope he becomes World Champion someday!! :YMPEACE:The Apocalypse wrote: WOOHOO!!!!! Someone agrees! Re: God Bless Matt Hardy!!!
Matt will surely be World Champion in TNA, no doubt about it. Once he establishes the proper hype (or heat), name, and reputation for himself, the belt will be drawn to him like a magnet. Jeff Hardy was punished for his drug issues in WWE when they gave him crappy storylines and lackluster title reigns. Now, he's hanging with the most elite group in TNA including names like Bischoff, Flair, and Hogan. TNA made Jeff a big-time player in wrestling and a huge main eventer. What's stopping them from diong the same with Matt? As a wrestler, Matt has huge potential. Though he may not be too good on the eyes in terms of his physical condition, a little work in the gym could change it all.
My prediction: Matt Hardy will be TNA World Champ by the end of 2011...
