TNA Genesis Results 1/8

Austin Aries defeated Zema Ion, Kid Kash & Jesse Sorenson in a Four Corners match to retain the TNA X-Division Championship.
-Aries last eliminate Sorenson.

Devon defeated D'Angelo Dinero w/Devon's sons.

Gunner w/Ric Flair defeated Rob Van Dam.

Gail Kim defeated Mickie James by DQ to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.
-James was disqualified for using brass knuckles.

Abyss defeated Brother Ray in a Monsters Ball match.
-If Abyss had lost, he would have had to rejoin Immortal.

Matt Morgan & Crimson defeated Samoa Joe & Magnus to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Kurt Angle defeated James Storm.

Jeff Hardy defeated Robert Roode by DQ.
-Roode attacked the referee causing the Disqualifcation.
-Because of the DQ finish, Roode retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

besides the two DQ finishes, this was a SOLID ppv for TNA! I was VERY surprised

The first two matches were pretty good and set the tone the right way. Usually TNA does a good opener but drops off from it.

Sure most places aren't great BUT nobody is as consistently bad as Taz & Tenay.

@rabid: tru

@ycw: pwg commentary just belittles the in ring stuff too much for me some times. It's like an episode of the Soup going on while guys are wrestling; the commentary during a lot of the Final Countdown Tour came off the same way to me. It feels like two heel commentators too often....

I'll admit I am in the dark on just about everything TNA is doing these days, but I thought Immortal kicked Abyss out.

after they kicked him out, he started to be a force again and go after them, so they've been trying to get him back under their control
