Royal Rumble Predictions

Post by yourcrapsweak » Jan 3rd, '12, 07:02

A little early? Eh, I don't think so. Let's start now, because I know lots of you have lots to say.

What are your Rumble predictions? Who will win? Who will return? Etc.?

Sheamus? No.
Barrett? Hell no.
Jericho? Maybe.
Ziggler? Maybe but I don't think so.
Who do I think will win? Have no clue.

Yeah too bad he's in jail for drug possession.

It really feels like they're grooming Sheamus to win it, but...

That's the poster for Elimination Chamber. Rumble winners usually aren't featured on EC.
Possibilities are endless for winners (Ziggler, Barrett, Jericho), but my gut's telling me it'll be a returning Randy Orton. WWE needs a homerun here and I think Orton is their man. He'll be screwing Sheamus out of a win and turning heel (where he blongs).

Also returning? My bets go to Christian and Sin Cara. I think the Brodus Clay angle is heading toward him re-debuting at the Rumble and being "that guy" who dominates it (Kane was "that guy" for years n years).

Big Surprises? I think they're going to try like hell to get Lesnar to take a number in it, I also wouldn't rule out "Poor Man's Brock Lesnar" Dave Batista.

Every year since he retired I hope to see JBL come down the ramp, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

No sweat, I don't think it was posted here but I heard it on a radio show. And guess what? Like always, it happened ten minutes from my house.

I actually have a prediction. I think Cena's gonna win it. Now is the perfect time for him to win the Rumble to shaken up this whole angle. Plus he has the match at 'Mania, so he might not even be in the match, but if he is then I think he'll win it.

That's just stupid. I don't even think Cena will be in the Rumble, he's got his big time match, WWE will not waste a push opportunity John Cena who's in the BIGGEST MATCH on the PPV. It's just not going to happen.

Sheamus is a possibility, look at it... he's face... it allows Daniel Bryan (if he still holds the belt) plenty of time to go heel and get over as heel, even if he doesn't, Bryan will lose it to a heel, so a face challenger is necessary, remove Cena, remove Randy & remove Punk, who's the biggest face in WWE right now? SHEAMUS.

Orton will probably end up winning. I hate that fact, but it's his hometown, he'd be returning from injury, blah blah, etc.

As far as MY personal pick...I originally went with Dolph Ziggler. He's on a huge roll, he's proven himself as a workhorse and one hell of a charismatic entertainer who could take the WWE into the future. But then he was placed into the WWE Championship match against CM Punk.
THEN, my pick was Kane. But it's becoming increasingly clear that he'll have a match with Cena. Wouldn't make sense ofr Kane to win.

Now my pick is Chris Jericho. It DOES make sense for him to win. If Punk beats Ziggler at the Rumble PPV and survives the Elimination Chamber, they'd be set for a PERFECT WrestleMania match between Jericho and Punk. Think about that. I know the idea has been presented within the IWC for some time now, but REALLY put some thought into the promos and overall feel of what that would be like. If Rock/Cena and Triple H/Undertaker end up sucking some major dick, Punk vs. Jericho could save the whole event!

Now, for returns...Christian. Very little doubt in my mind about that one. I've got a good feeling about Brodus clay, as well.
As far as surprises...for the first time, I actually see Lesnar as a reasonable possibility. Batista is a maybe. And I think we'll be getting some Kevin Nash, too.

That's just my take on it. The Rumble is usually my favorite annual event, so I'm very much looking forward to it.

Sheamus vs. Dragon for the World Title at 'Mania? That'll draw, I see Vince salivating at the idea.

They already have Rock vs. Cena, plus the other world title match, plus the Undertaker match, plus (assumedly) the Henry vs. Big Show blow off. Dragon vs. Sheamus doesn't need to draw.

I knew someone would say this. So they're going to say "oh we don't need a strong undercard, who cares?" No, they're going to go all out regardless.

Nah. Show is gonna end up going heel before long, because of the World Heavyweight title situation with D-Bry. Maybe as soon as th enext few weeks, or even the Rumble. I seriously think they're headed toward Show vs. Shaq at Mania.

They need to have a strong undercardm quality-wise. Dragon vs. Sheamus will definitely deliver on that.
