And once again.....NO FREAKING BRODUS CLAY!!! I'm honestly sick of this, i can be pissed off because it in my opinion is stupid. If they want to push him back until they have something for him then don't bring him up one week saying he'll debut the next when he won't. I'm all for intriguing storylines and stuff that will pull me in but what they're doing with Clay is just stupid.

The energy in that arena when the lights went out for Jericho...and yes, I was part of those chants. I could see him clearly, even with the lights out.

Also, there was a dark match. Street fight between Cole and Lawler.

He's basically become to WWE what Matt Damon has to Jimmy Kimmel. Only without the "We apologize to Brodus Clay, but we ran out of time."

Perhaps so, but the light that is Dolph Ziggler pales in comparison to the fire that is Seru. :D

Why build it up each week? Why not just mention it then finally after a month or two of nothing have him be at the rumble. Mentioning him and saying he'll debut the next week more then once is just stupid.

It just makes you want it more; I agree with cero: the build NEEDS a payoff. You can't guarantee a great payoff with a weekly show; an entrance (esp if it's a debut or return; see Nash and Booker last year, and Godfather in 2002) during the Rumble will ALWAYS be a good payoff.

It would have been alright with me IF they didn't claim a whole bunch of times he was going to be on RAW. It's like the boy who cried wolf, they've said at least 5 times that he'll be on RAW the following week but it hasn't happened. Personally, i see it as stupid.

It was really short. More of a segment, really. Cena put over Memphis and Lawler, then took it upon himself to make the match. Lawler got in the ring, in street clothes, and got one of the biggest pops of the night. Then Cole took the mic and got mad heat. Gave a bunch of excuses as to why he shouldn't have to fight Lawler. "You're too old for a street fight and I don't want to hurt you, I already beat you at WrestleMania, I shouldn't have to wrestle in a dump like Memphis, Tennessee, etc." Then he tried to leave. Daniel Bryan came up from behind him and beat his ass down the ramp. Lawler ripped Cole's pants off (for some odd reason) and stiffed him with right hands a few times, then teased a piledriver (a move banned in the WWE, but still famous in Memphis - if you know your history, you know why). Lawler hit the fist drop off the middle rope and got the win. He then cut a pretty emotional promo on his city. It was pretty great.

I see what you mean, but I think it's a part f Johnny Ace's characterization; he wants to build more and more hype around Clay. Since Ace is an unoriginal suit who thinks he's awesome (insert BRM's fav word :p ) he thinks he's REALLY building it up. I think it's kinda cool; good storytelling. Plus, Brodus Clay would get minimal tv time right now anyways: They've got Miz and Truth going on, Kane and Cena, Punk and Ace, the World title picture, and Ryder to squeeze in on Raw. After the Rumble, they can rearrange the segments and squeeze Clay in better....unless of course they nix those two minute ivas matches for a better, two minute Brodus Clay squash, but Clay squashing folks in 3mins won't get him over well. He's already been doing that; I'm hoping he becomes a more major player (no top title contender, but he could be Ace's muscle and go at guys like Punk and Ryder and Cena)

It's not an insult. It is him kayfabe accidentally mispronouncing words, which makes it even more hilarious.
