ROH DVD collection

Post by Styles » Aug 31st, '11, 02:26

I'm looking to start a ROH DVD collection. I infact don't own any wrestling DVD's full stop, but seeing as ROH is only really available in this format I have no choice.

Suggestions on which ones I should buy please!

Or if I cannot find the DVD in my region (Region 2 (Europe)) if anyone knows where to download?

But to be honest I'd like to buy as it means throwing some well needed cash at ROH.

you should consider buying a multiregion DVD player

anyway, my suggestion would be to start buying stuff with wrestlers that you wanna see or a certain storyline. If you don't really care about that, you can go for Glory By Honors, Death before Dishonors, or Final Battles, those rarely disappoint.

well, if you're gonna have trouble with the DVD and want it now, go to http://www.rohvideos.com/ and start buying. Like i said, hit DBDs, GBHs, and Final Battles, those are good enough.

Hey just wondering how your ROH dvd collection is coming along? I started about the same time you did and just wondering how we'd compare...I've got all 2002 and 2003 so far, working on 04 right now...Also, got some random shows i've picked up at live events and through sales i think i'm sitting at about 100 right now.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I now realize that, as of 18 months ago, I had just bought my second ROH DVD (and I owned one iPPV). Now, I own over 175, with doubles of a bunch of the better ones (the problem with being in two ebay auctions at once) which I am looking to unload. I actually own almost all 0f 2002 (missing just three shows) over half of 2003 and 2004, almost half of, 2005, and almost every show Final Battle 2005 until the present.

You should be able to complete 2002 pretty cheap I don't remember spending to much on anything from 2002...2003 was a bit more expensive I think I had to pay around 30 each for Revenge on the prohecy, Empire city showdown, beating the odds, and the conclusion..I got a good deal on Epic Encounter and won it for 10 bucks it usually goes around 30 or 40...I only need 8 more 2004 dvds i'm gonna have to break my 30 dollar rule for ROH Gold tho, i've never seen a copy go for under 50 bucks and the card doesen't even look that good...I may be interested in some of your doubles your looking to unload, what do you have?

I keep getting sniped on Night of the Butcher, and I haven't been able to find either Crowning a Champion or Honor Invades Boston for a good price. 2003 is the one that scares me a bit, though. I also paid around 30 for Revenge on the Prophecy, and I haven't seen any of the other four you listed for anything less than that. I got a great deal on War of the Wire, though, which I thought was also going to be up there in price. I got it, At Our Best, and Final Battle 2004 all together for just $25.

Having seen the card for Gold, I honestly don't think that I am going to even try for it. Maybe if it is one of the last things I need, but just doesn't seem that good to me. I have heard that The Last Stand and The Battle Lines Are Drawn can also go for quite a bit, but guess that is just karma, as I got great deals on The Midnight Express Reunion, Joe vs. Punk II, All-Star Exravaganza II, and Final Battle 2004.

I have also heard that Death Before Dishonor VI, All-Star Exravaganza IV, and Final Battle 2008 can also all go for quite a bit.

I see plenty of honor invades boston and crowning a champions on ebay you can usually get them less than 15 bucks just gotta look often...What I do is just pick a few titles i want and check for them everyday or so then wait til the last minute and enter my max bid, if I win it awesome if not there's alaways another one listed within a week...I am a completionist so i'll pay that high for Roh Gold but not until i'm sure i can't get it for cheaper..Battle lines are drawn and the last stand are a bit high i haven't seen them under 25 yet so i'm kinda holding off on them until i find a good deal...I saw Ring of Homicide 2 go for 80 bucks the other day on Ebay that is insane!!! One of my best finds was All star extravaganza on amazon for 4 dollars that was awesome.

I'll take a look at your list later on, how much are you wanting to sell them for?

Heh. I think I bid on that, but myt max bid was about $5. That show was the one that was so disappointing that Gabe got fired, right?

As for prices, it depends on the show. My goal is to recoup my losses for having the doubles, so at least I paid for them. I need to go back and check my records.

Not sure I wasn't following ROH at the time that shit better be amazing for 80 bucks tho lol, must be pretty rare for some reason...I find it odd some go for over 50 dollars while others with much better cards from the same time periods go for less than half that...Maybe the shows sucked so bad no one bought them so that's why there aren't many on ebay.

also, i was searching Ebay tonight there is a crowning the champion and honor invades boston on there for 10 and 15 bucks right now probably won't find em much cheaper than that.
