Ok, this dawned on me... Think About it... Sin Cara mysteriously tests positive for something violating the WWE Wellness Policy. But, instead of WWE following standard procedure, they broke it. They never told us what he apparently tested positive for, which is odd. What's even more stange, is, he didn't even sit out his full suspension... or his character I should say. The Sin Cara character was played by Hunico. BUT, then all of the sudden, they started making it obvious on tv, that this wasn't the same guy under the mask. The same time which Mistico was supposedly "dismissed," from WWE... Which leads me to this...
I honestly think from the jump, this was a work. What I mean by this, is I DON'T think Mistico ever tested positive for anything. We have heard the rumors that the WWE is taking a long term approach these days. So maybe that was all a setup to get the guys behind computer screens talking. Seems the curveball has been used a lot, and very well in the WWE lately. I also think this, because instead of derailing the Sin Cara head of steam, he gets put into a primetime feud again, which is rare. Usually when guys test positive, and AREN'T he top company names, they spend awhile jobbing or a bunch of mid card losses.

Re: Sin Cara
you may be on to something here. The whole story was definitely somewhat fishy from the start that Mistico didn't even know he was injected from something illegal in Mexico. This could have been made so that ALL mexico felt like their precious Mistico was being screwed.
Furthermore, for any Lucha fan, they should know that Hunico used to be called "Mistico de Juarez" when he was still in Mexico, many say that Mistico took Hunico's Mistico gimmick, some say it's the other way around. This feud is every lucha fan dream.

I disagree about it making him look like a dick; even if he purposely took whatever it was (if there was anything) how was he to know it would make him test positive? The very same thing happened to Rey a year or two back. It happens to all kinds of pro athletes, esp when they come from/go to another country. The Awesome One wrote:IO dunno....it made Mistico look like a dick, like he didn't care for his work, although TBH, ive never heard of the guy botching in mexico or taking drugs, so maybe it was a work. I wouldn't put anything past the WWE these days.
I did not know this. With this info, coupled with SONIC's theory, what if the story becomes that Hunico framed Mistico so he could take his place? Like a B. Brian Blair/Iron Sheik type storyline?cero2k wrote:you may be on to something here. My thing is there were NO drugs.. It was all a work. Because they would've made him sit out his full suspension, instead of putting Hunico under the mask before it was over, and making it obvious that it wasn't Mistico...
Cero's info makes me believe that even more... I call work since day 1.
Also, I find it funny that they said Mistico botched SO much, which I only counted 2 notcieable televised, but yet Hunico has botched just as much, if not MORE, and might I add, on much more BASIC moves. I call work on the whole "Mistico botching too much & can't get used to the WWE style too." I say he was fine from day 1.

in the end, I hope Hunico remains and on screen character; as well as Sin Cara, obviously....
