FCW - Ricardo Rodriguez Interview

Post by Bob-O » Sep 11th, '11, 23:03

I remember this interview being mentioned in a news topic. Quite interesting! We'll have to see if this angle ever works it's way up to the main roster...

Interview with Ricardo and his stable, The Ascension, explaining the true relationship between himself and Alberto Del Rio.

This angle looks amazing. I'd love to see Alberto try and push Ricardo around and Ricardo just come out with "Remember who works for who" and then walk away

Rodriguez got some good promo skills and some good promo structure. I'd love to see what Kiel297 is suggesting.

It'd help Del Rio become #1 Latino babyface too...

I dont like it,just too much narcistic heel stuff,"He won RR cuz of me,MITB because of me" i know what hes trying to do but I just didnt like it cuz its blatantly not true...if it were ...it might mean something actually, granted,i know hes just being a cocky arrogant heel and all,,but that stuffs not true so he just came off as a idiot to me

It's the oldest turn/step up angle in the book. "I'm tired of carrying you, so now I'll show how I roll without you". How does he come off as an "idiot"? He came across as the perfect manager to the rest of us.

Because its not true,,Del rio won those things by himself,It would better Del rio wouldnt have won RR and MITB without Rodriguez sacirficing himself or something,,but that wasnt the case,,,, I already explained why i feel he sounded moronic in my post right up there..and yea? differenting opinions

Okay, I sense a little anger coming from the New Wrestling Revolution Oreos.... Okay... But my point is still valid.

He's not saying Del Rio couldn't have PHYSICALLY won these matches on his own, he obviously did that. What Ricardo is saying is that he's been with Del Rio since Day 1. That Del Rio wouldn't be where he is today without Ricardo's guidance and all the help he's received from his father's agency. It's partially narcissistic, but I see it more as Ricardo getting sick and tired of looking like a tool, Del Rio hanging him out to dry, and not getting ANY credit for Del Rio's success. Motivation to let his voice be heard.

Del Rio, I'm sure, would take the flip side of that coin in that Ricardo wouldn't even have a voice if it weren't for him. He'd still be pushing paper work in his father's office. If Ricardo has a solid stable behind him, I can see this playing out in a great way!

is he supposed to sound like a face or something? cuz it came off as more heelish to me,hence the "Narcisstic arrogance"

if hes supposed look like the shoved down had enough good guy to me this is being done wrong then

Im NOT talking about your opinion, i'm talking about your constantly arguing with Styles. You take what he says seriously everywhere when it's obvious he's not serious. You've called him a name in another topic in the past 12 hours. Leave it be.

Rodriguez isn't trying to say that he's physically helped Del Rio win everything. He's saying that he is Del Rio's manager. He's saying that he pulls the strings outside the ring, and if it weren't for him, Del Rio wouldn't have gotten every opportunity thrown his way.

I don't see how this isn't obvious.
