these are volume set 3, 4, and 5, couldn't find picks for 1 and 2
150 dlls per set
maybe there's some extras in them, idk.Big Red Machine wrote:Wait? It's just 4 episodes spread out of over DVDs? Wasn't the show only 1 hour long?
it's not 4 episodes, it's 4 episodes per DVD. it's a complete season what they're selling. of a show that you can't get anywhere, with amazing covers. 40 episodes per set.Rabid619 wrote:I honestly wanna know the other stuff on these DVDs that make them worth the $150 for 4 episodes plus extras.
It looks like the outside of the box for the set says theres only 4 episodes in the entire set. My bad.cero2k wrote:it's not 4 episodes, it's 4 episodes per DVD. it's a complete season what they're selling. of a show that you can't get anywhere, with amazing covers. 40 episodes per set.
ok; they're box sets, but they don't have an actual box. It's just a bundle of dvds strapped together. SWEET! I hate getting those big boxes to hold the dvds, then having one of my friends sit on it when the dvds aren't in it and ruin it....Rabid619 wrote:It looks like the outside of the box for the set says theres only 4 episodes in the entire set. They might have it though. I definitely feel the same way, i've stepped on a box for a DVD set without it being in there and crushed it.badnewzxl wrote:ok; they're box sets, but they don't have an actual box. It's just expensive bc it's RFvideo and it prolly took the pedophile years and years and years to finally convert all those tapes he has into dvd format, and he prolly had to go through some crap with WWE about distributing them, and he had to get out of jail register as a sex offender, etc.Rabid619 wrote:They might have it though. I still think the $150 is a bit steep for all that. I've seen a complete series box set for a TV Show cost less. I'm assuming theres A LOT of extras. What makes me laugh a bit is that a bunch of this ECW stuff has made Botchamania, whether it's matches or behind the scenes stuff.
I enjoy matches that aren't meant to be technical or anything more then two guys or more just trying to beat the crap out of each other with anything they can find. I never got a chance to watch the original ECW when it was on but I've watch ONS 2005 a bunch of times and the tag match with Team 3D vs Dreamer & Sandman was fun because it wasn't technical or anything liek that, just guys doing anything to beat each other for a 3 count.badnewzxl wrote:As a hardcore ECW fan, I really mind the botches; anyone who enjoys watching ECW enjoys the botches. IMO, it was one of the things that made the show seem more real. Sabu and the Sandman are perfect examples. Sabu was so reckless and out of control that it made sense that he botched a bunch of moves; HE'S A MADMAN, NOT A NINJA. And of course Sandman doesn't know how to execute a frankensteiner properly; HE'S JUST SOME DRUNK GUY WHO GOT OFF THE COUCH AND JUMPED IN THE RING. And yeah, guys like this prolly wouldn't beat and RVD or 2 Cold Scorpio in a promotion where the refs are strict and you have to out wrestler your opponent; but this is ECW we're talking about. It wasn't really about how good of a wrestler you were; it was about how EXTREME you were. IMO, that's what made ECW my favorite wrestling promotion (...until ROH came into my life)
you should go to youtube and watch Wrestlepalooza 97; just the Raven v. Dreamer match and what ensues afterwards. ECW is the only promotion I've ever heard of to have such perfectly planned chaos. It was unpredictably and spontaneous without leaving loose ends or contradicting itself outright....Rabid619 wrote:I enjoy matches that aren't meant to be technical or anything more then two guys or more just trying to beat the crap out of each other with anything they can find. Perfectly planned chaos is the right term for ECW. Michael Cole would say "Controlled Frenzy" though. :pbadnewzxl wrote:you should go to youtube and watch Wrestlepalooza 97; just the Raven v. Uch. That segment was brutal. So many things made no sense at all. If they were all in cahoots, what was the point of the heels appearing one by one (completely with super-cheesy lights going out- it is okay once, but doing it three times in a row, always right after Tommy hits a big move is ridiculous)? And RVD and Sabu getting up that quickly undersold Tommy's finisher, too.badnewzxl wrote:

His finisher was a ddt; and he'd have to hit it several times during most of his matches in order to get the win so of course it's no gonna take out two totally fresh, top level guys after being the ONLY moves they're hit with. and the reason they appeared one by one was so no one saw King coming. Nobody thought he'd show up at an ECW show.Big Red Machine wrote:Uch. That segment was brutal. So many things made no sense at all.
