Steel cage announced for next Saturday in Charlotte

ROH TV champion El Generico vs. Roderick Strong in a steel cage match has been announced for July 9 in Charlotte.

ROH is billing it as the headline match of the show. Prior to Charlotte, ROH will be in Richmond, Va. on July 8, where the headline match will involve ROH tag champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin.

They released a Generico promo where he said that he wanted a match with Roddy with no outside interference, and that he wants to be done with this feud. It makes logical sense as a blow-off, but I definitely agree that this feud really doesn't seem worthy of a cage match, which is something that ROH had protected pretty well back in the days of Gabe.
