Who is the best indy wrestler of the last decade?

Post by cero2k » May 1st, '11, 10:13

Superluchas is running this poll for the best indy wrestler of the last decade. Many names I wouldn't consider (Necro, Benjamin), and many name are missing IMO (CM Punk, Kevin Steen), but i'm just passing the poll to you guys.

Vote on who you think was the best indy wrestler of the last decade

Danielson. Easily. Davey's, Eddie's, and Super Dragon's career weren't/haven't been long enough to compete (Davey & Eddie are too young, and Super Dragon's was cut short due to injury), Ki didn't work in the indies for a long time due to his attitude (which got him in trouble in both TNA and ROH), The Briscoes aren't in his league as singles wrestlers,Haas, Benjamin & London didn't spend anywhere near enough time on the indies to have a shot in hell, and Roddy can't cut promos too well. Ricochet hasn't had as along a career and just isn't that good, and Generico isn't as good and doesn't cut promos. Necro isn't anywhere near as a good as Dragon, and Dragon is a lot better than both Cabana and PAC. The only guys who come close are Claudio, Hero, Quack, and Aries, and of them, only Aries and Hero have consistently put on matches of Dragon's quality- and between those two, Dragon has a couple of year of awesomeness on Aries. Dragon is better than Hero.

As for snubs from this list:
Samoa Joe
Alex Shelley
Eddie Kingston
Hold #712: ARM BAR!

Danielson. I'd say Punk and Homicide are his closest competitors, but neither is even on the list.....
