King vs Cole at Wrestlemania 27
Hey just want to get your guys though on the match between The king and Cole. Who do think will win? And what do you think on Stone Cold being the special Gust ref for the match?

King will win. Having Austin as the Special Guest Ref is THE SINGLE WORST POSSIBLE THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE FOR THIS FEUD!

That is true about what your saying about Stone Cold being the ref for this match. Last time he was a ref for a match It was Brock Lezner vs Goldberg at Wrestlmaina 20. I was there and that match sucked. Everyone in the crowed even my self was chanting this match sucks. So hope this match don't suck like the last one that Stone Cold was ref for.Big Red Machine wrote:King will win. It just all goes against Booking 101... in a feud like this you do NOT... I repeat DO NOT, give the face the advantage... It's just awful. JBL as referee would have been totally awesome. King would have had all sorts of odds to over come... JBL as Ref, Jack Swagger in Cole's corner & anything else they threw in BEFORE he could get to Cole.
Now, it seems like it's gonna be a 5 minute whip around & beat down, finished with a stunner & a diving fist drop before the pin. This match just went from Watchable, to Missable.

It just pisses me off, agreed, everyone wants to see Cole get a beatdown... but I want to see some heelish actions first. I want King to truly earn it, overcome some odds... not have me pity & to a certain degree cheer for Michael Cole because HE'S the one overcoming the odds.
I hope WWE have a plan, because so far, this has become a booking FAIL.

This match is gonna be unwatchable. I hope that next week Cole says that the stipulations are that he got to pick who the ref was and even though Austin signed the contract, JBL was already chosen by him.
Re: King vs Cole at Wrestlemania 27
Okay calm down guys. I'm not worried about the Stone Cold reffing idea at all because I really don't believe WWE is going to just leave the match booked like this. There's still plenty of TV time left before WM for more twists and turns to take place. Hell, by the time WM rolls around it could be a tag match: King & Austin vs. Cole & Swagger
As my buddy Jesse would say, "I'm going on the record!" Here is the complex scenario that I see happening...
Somewhere in the back Swagger sneak attacks and assaults Steve Austin and applies the ankle lock while Cole mocks him. He keeps the ankle lock applied to the point where Stone Cold can no longer walk and is attended to by medics.
We receive continuous reports re: Stone Cold's condition and it does not look promising for WrestleMania.
RAW receives an e-mail from the anonymous general manager and Lawler reads: "Due to the condition of Stone Cold Steve Austin and the unlikelyhood of his ability to referee at WrestleMania, the special guest referee will be decided in a match between Jack Swagger and a WWE superstar of Jerry Lawler's choosing and that match will take place... tonight!"
Jack Swagger comes out for the match and it turns out his opponent is Daniel Bryan!
The match takes place and due to interference by Michael Cole, Swagger wins and is declared the referee for the WrestleMania match. After the match Swagger puts the ankle lock on Daniel Bryan while Cole mocks him. Jerry Lawler enters the ring. Cole runs like hell. Swagger drops Daniel Bryans leg and has a stare down with lawler, while acting cocky and laughing at Lawler. Lawler takes the first shot and actually gets a few good shots in but eventually Swagger gets Lawler in the ankle lock and holds it until Daniel Bryan makes the save. Swagger exits smiling as Daniel Bryan checks on Lawler in the ring.
WrestleMania: King vs. Cole:
Throughout the match Swagger holds Lawler as Michael Cole on the mic berates the king for a good 4 or 5 minutes, infuriating the crowd. He slaps the king in the face now and again, still yapping on the mic. He puts the mic down and throws a few free punches @ the king. He picks up the mic and gives another little speech and spits in his face. Cole puts the mic down again and hoofs the king in the nads. Swagger finally drops the king. Cole starts putting the boots to him. Swagger sets the king up in certain positions for Cole to practice some of the moves he learned. After several minutes, Lawler finally shows some resistance but just as he gets some offense going, Swagger takes him down. Swagger and Cole beat Lawler to a bloody pulp. Cole pins Lawler for a 2-count a few times but Lawler kicks out. Swagger puts Lawler in the ankle lock. Lawler is screaming but won't tap. Cole starts yelling in Lawler's face. Daniel Bryan's music hits and Daniel Bryan runs to the ring. Swagger drops the king's leg. Cole hides behind Swagger. Daniel Bryan starts pleading with the two of them to just stop the match and leave the king be. They answer with a double-team on Daneil Bryan. They lay the boots to him for a minute before tossing him out. Then they turn back to the king and do a couple of devastating moves on him. Cole goes for the pin. 1. 2. Stone Cold's music hits. Austin comes out wearing referee stripes. Cole hides behind Swagger. Austin enters the ring and immediately he and Swagger start trading blows. Cole yells @ Austin to stop. After maybe 20 seconds Daniel Bryan trips up Swagger and drags him to the outside and they fight out there. Austin faces Cole in the centre of the ring and smiles. Stunner! He grabs the battered king from the corner, pulls him over Cole and counts 1. 2. 3. Austin's music hits again and he raises the king's hand. They share a few quick beers.

Re: King vs Cole at Wrestlemania 27
I must be the only guy around here who is sick and tired of the predictable scenario of stacking the deck against the face! I am SOOOOO tired of this! I'm glad Austin is involved; I don't wanna see King pin Michael Cole, what the hell does that matter? I wanna see King beat the hell out of Cole; I wanna see Cole crawling away, running from Lawler, begging and all that. I want comedy, not melodrama; Austin ensures comedy....

I really love this scenario aside from the part where Austin saves the day. LAWLER is the one who needs to get the heat back, because he is the one who has been tormented and abused.
The one change I would make to this would be to have Dragon come out and brawl with Swagger, and have them brawl into the crowd (Swagger can't DQ Lawler because Dragon hasn't attacked Cole or shown any preference for one guy or the other in this match). Cole goes to punch a weakened Lawler, but Lawler blocks it and responds with a punch of his own. Cole realizes that Swagger isn't around to save him, and runs up the ramp and backstage....
and is then dragged back out by Austin (in zebra garb). Austin drags Cole down the ramps and rolls him into the ring, making him face the music from Lawler. Austin eventually counts a pin of Lawlers, then they have a beer bash.

Re: King vs Cole at Wrestlemania 27
Hey BRM you make a good point about Lawler earning the victory. Your changes make sense, using Daniel Bryan to take Swagger out of the equation and even the odds. I really like the Cole trying to escape to the back and Stone Cold's suprise entrance. That's even more impactful than my over-done suprise entrance during the count.
Anyways, as I said before, I believe 100% that before WrestleMania, this match will be altered in a major way, to give the advantage back to Cole.
