An interesting fact about Billy Graham's title run
He is still the longest reigning heel (as in, began his run as a heel, ended it as a heel) WWE Champion at 296 days. Yoko and JBL tie for second place at 280 days. I just thought the statistic was interesting as WWE has never really deviated from having primarily babyface top babyfaces

Are we only counting feuds that started as a heel and ended as a heel?

Yeah, because I knew someone would bring up Punk.cero2k wrote: Oct 2nd, '19, 08:56 Are we only counting feuds that started as a heel and ended as a heel?

I think Punk's actual heel stuff was less than Graham, but i'm wondering about Bob Backlund.

Heel Bob? He was only champion for three days, and was a babyface during the entirety of his multi-year run in the 80s.cero2k wrote: Oct 2nd, '19, 10:05I think Punk's actual heel stuff was less than Graham, but i'm wondering about Bob Backlund.

oh ok, I had the vague memory that he also had a heel stint during his 700+ reignNWK2000 wrote: Oct 2nd, '19, 11:29

There's a lot in the Backlund era that's not part of WWE lore (See, the Greg Valentine win, the series with Inoki) so you might be right.
Leaving the last part of the Valentine match here because it's one of the most ridiculous finishes ever.

Same, I'm actually watching him play backyard wrestling right now...he's pretty much the only wrestling Youtuber I can watch and or/listen to, because the others just sound so ridiculous. What culture, Wrestlelamia, Wrestlecrap were all a no until I came across him.
His stuff about The Invasion is really spot on btw.
