For the third time in four weeks, SmackDown's Monday night house show won't be taking place as scheduled.

WWE announced today that SmackDown's house show that was supposed to take place at the Tony's Pizza Event Center in Salina, Kansas on Monday (May 27) has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 26. Tickets that were purchased for Monday will be honored on that October 26 date, and WWE noted that fans who cannot attend should go to their point of purchase for refunds.

Tony's Pizza Event Center apologized to fans for any inconvenience the change caused.

With the introduction of the Wild Card rule and episodes of Raw and SmackDown being able to feature appearances by a few wrestlers from the other brand, SmackDown's house show that was scheduled for Corbin, Kentucky on Monday, May 6 was postponed to Thursday, October 17. SmackDown's house show that had been set for Lowell, Massachusetts this past Monday was also canceled.

The only Monday that didn't have a schedule change this month was during WWE's European tour.

This is an underrated sh*tty aspect of the Wildcard Rule that WWE needs to answer for.

That's what I'm saying, and it's sh*tty of them to do, because these are smaller markets that they only show up to once or twice a year, and the shows are getting canceled because WWE is too lazy/dumb to figure out a formula where they can do the Wildcard Rule and still run the show. At the very least they should cancel them all in one fell swoop, not cancelling each one four days in advance.

It's pathetic that they feel the need to cancel shows because of a few guys...

It almost makes me wonder if they just don't want to admit how bad their guys draw, or how well some of them might. Especially in a smaller market, I don't see Kofi, Roman, and those guys missing killing a gate in 2019.

I think it'd be cool if they threw some NXT matches on those cards instead and see what happens...
