WALL STREET NOT HAPPY WITH WWE EARNINGS RELEASE, STOCK DOWN OVER 8%
Source: PWInsider
By Mike Johnson on 2019-04-25 10:33:00
WWE's stock is currently at 89.78, down nearly 9% after today's first quarter 2019 earnings release.
The stock had been hovering just under $100 of late and closed yesterday at $98.50.
Needless to say, Wall Street is not happy with WWE posting a loss this Quarter, which was blamed on the company having so many issues with talents being out of action during the quarter.
It will be interesting to see if the stock rebounds or even levels out after today's stockholder's call, which is slated for 11 AM. PWInsider.com will have complete coverage.

Probably, but I think it needs to be. Something as over the top as who Bray portrays can't afford to drop character ever - it's why we've never got that Undertaker shoot interview we've always wanted. The fact that he's so good at crossing the character over into non-kayfabe stuff is awesome. But if there was ever a post or pic FROM him talking about Jo Jo or babies or whatever it'd ruin everything.Serujuunin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 11:18Is his account just becoming a meme? Because it feels like it is.
I'm so pissed they broke kayfabe with Ciampa getting surgery. It's a great video, don't get me wrong, but it ruined him. Hottest heel in the company, talk of the entire industry, best work of his career down the shitter because they had an opportunity for a feel bad/feel good story. The last thing I want to see is that bald bastard playing with his little baby girl.
Less of that and more cane Dewey plz.

This. Every time I see that "this is real life" commercial for the Performance Center's YouTube channel I scream because it makes all of these people seem so likable even though some of them are supposed to be heels.Bob-O wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 11:58Probably, but I think it needs to be. I’m not sure why, but this doesn’t bother me as much as you or Red. I thought it was nice to see that video, and I’m sure that when he comes back, he’s going to be a face because that’s often how injury returns work, but I can just see him popping right back into top heel spot no problem.Bob-O wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 11:58Probably, but I think it needs to be. Character on screen though? Whole different story. I get so upset when characters do or say things I don’t think they should that it actually makes me mental and then the TV off.

You have said "it makes me mental"...3 or 4 times lately...*new catchphrase*....Serujuunin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 17:14I’m not sure why, but this doesn’t bother me as much as you or Red. It's been my IRL catchphrase for years and years. I guess I just stopped caring so much about the way I word things online.KILLdozer wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 22:12You have said "it makes me mental"...3 or 4 times lately...*new catchphrase*....Serujuunin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 17:14I’m not sure why, but this doesn’t bother me as much as you or Red. It's not that he can't do the job now, he can turn on Johnny again and blah blah blah, and we can boo him. The issue is that now when he does it, it's going to conflict me as a fan. It's going to be harder to hate him when I know he's going to go home and play with his cute little baby daughter afterwords. It's not going to be the same. Christmas isn't the same when you see mommy kissing Santa Claus. It's still awesome, but the magic is gone.Serujuunin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, '19, 17:14 I’m not sure why, but this doesn’t bother me as much as you or Red. They took it a step further in having Johnny talk about Ciampa being in pain after their matches. They brought up their friendship/relationship in the angle, so it would have been fine, except now we know Johnny was checking on him after their matches and they were still bff's behind the scenes the whole time. It takes the magic out of what was the feud of the year. It doesn't make it "bad", just takes the magic out of it when they didn't have to for the sake of YouTube clicks.

I don't really have a problem with this either. I guess I have being a fiction writer to blame- I can appreciate a villain for the villainous things he does but also realize that every villain has their redeeming qualities and are in fact the good guys in their own stories. So for me, it's like, sure, he's evil, but he's doing what he thinks he has to do to make it to the top of the business and provide for himself and his family (Eg. Kevin Owens), even if that isn't explicitly addressed on screen.Bob-O wrote: ↑Apr 26th, '19, 08:39It's not that he can't do the job now, he can turn on Johnny again and blah blah blah, and we can boo him. I didn't realize this happened. Was this on WWEPC? I haven't actually seen any of that stuff yet. I agree with you on that point; to me, the only time they should have this kind of stuff on film is once one or both guys are done, and in a career retrospective kind of way.Bob-O wrote: ↑Apr 26th, '19, 08:39They took it a step further in having Johnny talk about Ciampa being in pain after their matches.
