After not being involved in the championship match at WrestleMania 35, The Hardys will get their shot at the SmackDown Tag Team titles tonight.
The Usos defending their titles against The Hardys has been announced for tonight's post-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown. This will be the first time the teams have faced each other.
At WrestleMania, The Usos retained their titles by defeating Cesaro & Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev, and Ricochet & Aleister Black in a fatal four-way match. Sheamus was pinned after The Usos gave him a double-team superkick and splashes off the top rope.
Matt and Jeff Hardy were both in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania. They were eliminated by Braun Strowman near the end of the match, with Strowman then eliminating Saturday Night Live's Michael Che and Colin Jost to win.
WWE closes out five straight days in New York/New Jersey as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn hosts tonight's SmackDown. The New Day celebrating Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship win is also advertised for the episode.

Yeah. Because this is the sort of thing you book on free TV and put a random four-team bullsh*t match at WrestleMania.

I'd have just done it at Mania.XIV wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 12:35Surely have the Uso’s come out on Smackdown and proclaim themselves the best, no one can beat them blah blah. Cue the Hardyz to make the. Also, this is WWE. While there is nothing wrong with your idea in theory, the practice from WWE has been that we will then spend the next five weeks seeing these guys have singles matches against each other or commentating on each other's matches every f*cking week until the PPV comes, at which point no one cares about this dream match.

You’d think The Uso’s vs The Hardyz would book itself. You’d think you couldn’t mess it up and even a best of 7 series announced ahead of time could be hugely awesome.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 13:04I'd have just done it at Mania.XIV wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 12:35Surely have the Uso’s come out on Smackdown and proclaim themselves the best, no one can beat them blah blah. But a series of singles matches, f*ck finishes and whatnot would absolutely kill it.

Becky vs. Ronda has taught me that WWE can f*ck anything up.XIV wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 14:08You’d think The Uso’s vs The Hardyz would book itself. And now they’ve f*cked Lacey Evans because Becky didn’t quite realise how to sell the main impact move!

Eh. Lacey needed a new finisher anyway. The big punch has always been a little stupid, and Alexa does it better than she does.XIV wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 14:29Oh boy did they.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Apr 9th, '19, 14:15Becky vs. Ronda has taught me that WWE can f*ck anything up.

I didn't think I needed this in my life until now.
Too bad WWE is too awful at long term storytelling to make it happen.
