For the first time since he revealed his leukemia diagnosis, Roman Reigns is set to appear on WWE television.
WWE announced via a tweet from Vince McMahon that Reigns will appear on Monday's Raw to "address the status" of his battle with leukemia: "@WWERomanReigns (aka Joe Anoa'i) will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy"
Reigns announced on the October 22, 2018 episode of Raw that he was relinquishing the Universal Championship and taking a leave of absence to focus on his battle against leukemia, revealing that the disease had returned after 11 years. Reigns vowed that he wasn't giving a retirement speech and would return to in-ring action.
Reigns has a role as the brother of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character in the Fast and the Furious spinoff "Hobbs & Shaw," which has wrapped up filming and is scheduled to be released this summer. Reigns is also guest starring in an episode of Nickelodeon's "Cousins for Life" that will air on Saturday, March 2.
Monday's Raw is taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will also feature a 70th birthday celebration for Ric Flair.

He's either coming back or retiring. Why would they just have him come back with nothing new to say.

I'm not an expert, but 4 months seems a little speedy when talking about beating leukemia... nevermind being ring ready.
I'm guessing, especially given the GMA appearance, he's going to be hosting Wrestlemania this year.

given the two appearances, it's most likely good news.
Meltzer put it perfectly last night. Any other sport or celebrity, they'd just announce updates all the time, and you just have the appearance. Not WWE, they make the fans wait for the big update to pump up those ratings.

I mean... I could maybe see Lebron James making people wait.cero2k wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 08:43 given the two appearances, it's most likely good news.

This adds more evidence to the "retiring" camp in my mind.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 00:19 He'll apparently also be on Good Morning, America the next morning.

i'm not really familiar with Good Morning America, would that be the best place to bring up bad news on a Leukemia battle?NWK2000 wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 09:07This adds more evidence to the "retiring" camp in my mind.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 00:19 He'll apparently also be on Good Morning, America the next morning.

Good Morning America seems like the place you go for a fell-good story, not sad news.cero2k wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 09:16i'm not really familiar with Good Morning America, would that be the best place to bring up bad news on a Leukemia battle?NWK2000 wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 09:07This adds more evidence to the "retiring" camp in my mind.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 00:19 He'll apparently also be on Good Morning, America the next morning.

I'm almost entirely sure Daniel Bryan did an interview with Good Morning America after retiring. Edge also might have, I only vaguely remember.Big Red Machine wrote: ↑Feb 22nd, '19, 09:17Good Morning America seems like the place you go for a fell-good story, not sad news.
