Stephanie McMahon will be joining the commentary team for Sunday's women's Royal Rumble match.
McMahon made the announcement on Twitter today: "Announcing the first-ever women's #RoyalRumble match was one of my all-time favorite moments in @WWE... And now I'm proud to share that I'll be joining the Announce team for this historic match this Sunday! #RumbleForAll #RoyalRumble"
McMahon joined the women's division in the ring on the December 18th episode of Raw to announce that WWE's first-ever women's Royal Rumble would be happening in 2018. While speaking with The Mirror earlier this month, she explained why the announcement was a character-breaking moment: "We were chastised by some fans because we broke character and I told the women earlier in the day -- they knew I was coming out but they didn't know what I was going to say -- I told them react naturally, don't feel like you have to be in character, it's okay for you to react however you want to react, to whatever I'm going to say. We all broke character that night."
There have been 18 entrants officially confirmed for the women's Rumble, which is everyone on the current roster who is active and doesn't hold a title. The remaining participants in the match figure to be wrestlers from NXT and potentially some surprise appearances.

Just when I thought we were out of the woods and done with all of their obnoxious, Steph-focused bullsh*t, it turns out the worst is yet to come.

Yeah, nevermind Renee Young being there as the one that actually deserves it. OR, just cut the crap with all the agendas and put Graves and McGuiness on. Renee Young as your third.
Phillips isn't the worst but he's probably at the bottom of the list because while he's got better coverage and insight than the others worse than him, his voice is just SO over the top, cornball ridiculous.

If I remember correctly, Renee wasn't particularly good on commentary. If they want a woman, they should sign Veda Scott.

Stephanie wins after being a surprise entrant lol.

Re: Stephanie McMahon joining announce team for women's Royal Rumble
just answered in the other thread, but i'm expecting she either (1) is the surprise entrant from the announcers table, or (2) she gets in there, eliminates Ronda Rousey

Re: Stephanie McMahon joining announce team for women's Royal Rumble
If she’s eliminates Rousey. That WWE career would be over before it ever begun.
Have A Nice Day!
Re: Stephanie McMahon joining announce team for women's Royal Rumble
Nah, Stephanie and Rousey actually already have history, that WM thing with Triple H from years back, so it would make sense, plus it would probably actually make a good story of Stephanie running from, stacking the deck against her, weaseling out, then finally get that big revenge moment in a match.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.
Re: Stephanie McMahon joining announce team for women's Royal Rumble
It makes even less sense to have Stephanie face Rousey. Sure they had a WM moment... but if Rousey does join WWE, then it could be Stephanie constantly stacking the deck from a GM point of view... but a match between the two would be a pointless endeavour.KILLdozer wrote: ↑Jan 25th, '18, 12:34 Nah, Stephanie and Rousey actually already have history, that WM thing with Triple H from years back, so it would make sense, plus it would probably actually make a good story of Stephanie running from, stacking the deck against her, weaseling out, then finally get that big revenge moment in a match.

Maybe I'm just tired of all the Stephanie nonsense, get back in the ring already.

Re: Stephanie McMahon joining announce team for women's Royal Rumble
I already had plans to mute this match and do something else... But if I hadn't, I would now. Her voice is grating enough as it is, I don't want her in my ear for a match that has the potential to go on for an hour.
