ROH Pursuit: Night 2 (11/16/2013)- Columbus, OH

SILAS YOUNG vs. TADARIUS THOMAS- 5/10
Good for an eight minute match.

JIMMY JACOBS vs. RIK MATRIX- 5.75/10
Do not let the name fool you. While â€"Sik” Rik Matrix sounds like the name you would expect out of some small thin indy kid who does a lot of flips, this is not the case. This man is tall, has a thick, graying beard and weighs almost three hundred pounds.
Matrix randomly did Air Sabu. That was kind of stupid. Other than that, they had a very good big man vs. little man match.
After the match Nigel came out to put Jimmy Jacobs over on the mic and tell him that he has earned his spot in ROH back, as well as Nigel’s and the locker room’s respect. He had a bit of trouble counting, though. Jimmy says that he wants a spot on the card at Final Battle 2013, but Nigel says that all of the spots on the card are already taken. Nigel never explained why he just couldn’t make another match.

TOMMASO CIAMPA vs. MARK BRISCOE- 6.5/10
Steve Corino makes a joke about Jerry Lawler’s heart attack. Classy, as always. They have a very good match. Ciampa works over Marks head by hitting him in it a lot.

OUTLAWS INC. vs. THE AMERICAN WOLVES- 5/10
Fish and O’Reilly show up and steal Outlaws Inc.’s creepy clown masks.

PROVING GROUND MATCH: ROH World Champion Adam Cole vs. ACH- 7/10
Cole works over ACH’s knee. ACH sells it perfectly!

A QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT FROM NIGEL MCGUINNESS- Nigel says that as a result of their win earlier, Outlaws Inc. have earned an ROH World Tag Team Title match at Final Battle 2013, but if they interfere in tonight’s main event, they will lose that title shot.

FOUR WAY SCRAMBLE MATCH: Michael Elgin vs. Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong vs. Matt Taven (w/Truth Martini & the Hoopla Hotties)- 8/10
The four non-Scarlett Hoopla Hotties all appear to be random girls that someone found at a Gold’s Gym (based on their shirts). They left ringside before the match started. Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino both made fun of them.
The match was an awesome, action-packed thirteen minutes. Lethal put Taven through a table, continuing their feud.

STEVE CORINO INTERVIEWS JAY BRISCOE- good angles.
Corino says some inflammatory things. Jay challenges Corino to fight him. Silas Young comes out and attacks Jay. Mark makes the save. As Mark and Silas are being separated, Adam Cole sneaks up behind Jay and tries to attack him, but Jay ducks it. Those two brawl, and Elgin comes out and gets involved. The segment ends with Cole laying both challengers out. He poses with both his real ROH World Title and Jay’s custom belt, then throw Jay’s custom belt down in disgust.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: reDRagon(c) vs. Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander- 8/10
Caprice and Cedric jump reDRagon before they are ready. WTF?! You’re supposed to be the big babyface team in their last chance to win the belts! Don’t do heelish sh*t! Aside from that, though, this was a great match, but if Caprice has this eye injury from last night and it was Kyle’s fault… why not use that more in the match?

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- Caprice puts Cedric over HUGE on the mic, confirmed that the team is splitting up. GREAT promo by Caprice.

Great from ROH, and great build to Final Battle. Clocking in at about two hours and ten minutes, this is also one of the shortest shows and ROH history.

STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES:
1. Kevin Kelly started the show off by saying that â€"Final Battle has arrived!”
No it hasn’t. This is Pursuit: Night 2. Final Battle is still a month away.
