**PRE-SHOW**
JAMES MITCHELL PROMO - good

JEFF JARRETT & MIKE TENAY SEGMENT - Jeff Jarrett talks about the major series of releases in WWE recently, and claims that TNA management is going to bring in a bunch of WWE cast-offs to replace it’s homegrown top names. You can insert your own joke here if you’d like.

SHOCKER vs. JERRELLE CLARK - 2.5/10

WAY too short.

**MAIN SHOW**

AMERICA’S MOST WANTED vs. ALEX SHELLEY & MATT BENTLEY (w/Traci Brooks) - 6/10

The red did absolutely nothing here! He didn’t count for a count out, and he didn’t even do anything when Traci interfered by hitting Harris with a low blow (that should be twice the DQ!). Then again maybe he would have given a DQ if the Wildcat had actually sold it well. The stuff with Bentley and Storm going for their Superkicks was good. AMW win after Shelley eats a Superkick from Storm but Bentley Superkicks Storm after the match and bails.

We then get a recap of the segment between Jarrett and Tenay from the pre-show to let anyone who missed the pre-show know that Rhino will be in the building tonight

TEAM CANADA PROMO - Good promos all around. Jeff Jarrett then shows up and tries to recruit team Canada to his cause against TNA management. Good segment.

SUPER X-CUP QUALIFIER:
Sonjay Dutt vs. Mikey Batts vs. Shark Boy vs. â€"Prime Time” Elix Skipper - 6/10

Skipper took a ridiculously ugly phantom bump on the Dead Sea Drop, but otherwise just awesome action here that built very well. A nice little reminder of why you fell in love with the X-Division in the first place.

SHANE DOUGLAS INTERVIEWS KONNAN AND RON KILLINGS - GREAT stuff between these Konnan and Killings. This was easily the angle of the year for TNA in 2005!

SIMON DIAMOND & DAVID YOUNG vs. SONNY SIAKI & APOLO - 4.5/10

Before the match, Simon introduced David Young as the newest member of the Diamonds in the Rough.

CHRIS SABIN vs. SAMOA JOE - 8/10

An awesome story of Sabin trying to slay the monster while the monster just rip his head off with various neck submissions.

LANCE HOYT & THE NATURALS PROMOS - Hoyt and Stevens really came off as heels, here, which isn’t good because they are the babyfaces. Jimmy Hart’s promo was awesome, though, and he gave the whole thing a babyface feel again.

TEAM CANADA vs. LANCE HOYT & THE NATURALS (w/Jimmy Hart) - 6.75/10

Good finish. Major props are due to whoever thought it up.

PROMO BY THE OUTLAW AND MONTY BROWN - The Outlaw officially changes his name to Kip James, then Monty Brown cuts a promo mocking 3 Live Kru. Jeff Jarrett then shows up and has a great interaction with Monty.

STREET FIGHT:
Kip James & â€"The Alpha Male” Monty Brown vs. Ron â€"The Truth” Killings & Konnan - 5/10

The build was about the BG James’ loyalty but the match itself was mostly used to push an angle where the referees are facing unsafe working conditions. We got a little post-match segment which resulted in BG walking off without doing anything, which really just felt like they were stalling with this angle.

SHANE DOUGLAS INTERVIEWS JERRY LYNN - GREAT! Shane was an absolutely outstanding pot-stirring interviewer.

SINGLES MATCH WITH JERRY LYNN AS THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE:
AJ Styles vs. Sean Waltman - 7.75/10

An awesome match, aside from the end. I really disliked Jerry kicking Waltman’s hands off the ropes. He should have been forcing AJ to break the hold.

LARRY Z & JEFF JARRETT BACKSTAGE - good.

TNA X-DIVISION TITLE MATCH:
Christopher Daniels(c) vs. Petey Williams (w/A-1) - 7/10

NO SURRENDER DOG COLLAR MATCH FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:
Raven(c) vs. Abyss (w/James Mitchell) - 8/10

Did you expect anything other than hardcore awesome from these guys? One detail I really liked was the lack of pinfalls. Part of the hype of this match was that part of the stip of a â€"No Surrender” Dog Collar match is that you can’t tap out, which let these guys inflict as much pain as they wanted before going for the pin, so not having many pinfalls played into that well.

THE AFTERMATH - Jarrett comes out and tells Raven he wants his title back. This distracts Raven so that Rhino can make his debut by sneaking up behind Raven and hit him with the GORE!

Final Thoughts
Overall, an awesome show from TNA, and very easy to sit through, too.

STUPID ANNOUNCER QUOTES

1. Tenay â€"Abyss will try to use that chain as the great equalizer to exploit the size advantage that he has.”
If he is usiong it to exploit an advantage, it’s not an â€"equalizer.”
Hold #712: ARM BAR!
