PWG Scared Straight (3/7/2008)- Reseda, CA

ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT FOR A DDT4 BERTH MATCH: Scorpio Sky & Ronin vs. TJ Hooker (Hook Bomberry & TJ Perkins)- 5.25/10
More cheating from TJ Hooker

RODERICK STRONG vs. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI- 6.5/10
This was going great, but then the finish just came out of nowhere.

ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT FOR A DDT4 BERTH MATCH: The Young Bucks vs. Los Luchas- 5.75/10
Good storyline finish with Perkins and Bomberry causing a double DQ to ensure that they secure a DDT4 berth

BUTCHER'S RULES MATCH: Necro Butcher vs. Eddie Kingston- 7.25/10
Great hardcore stuff. Tornado costs Necro the match and escapes with his heat but Necro still gets to dish out some justice to Kingston afterwards.

PWG WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Dynasty (Joey Ryan & Scott Lost)(c) (w/Jade Chung) vs. The Briscoe Brothers- 6.75/10
The Briscoes were about to win but Kingston & Claudio, who were set to face the Dynasty for the titles at the next show, came out and screwed the Briscoes, then beat the Dynasty down. Kingston cut a decent heel promo afterwards.

JACK EVANS PROMO- GREAT! If you don't think Jack can do a serious promo, you are wrong! I had no reason to care about this World Title match until I saw this promo, and now I am 10000% behind Jack!

PWG WORLD TITLE MATCH: Human Tornado vs. Jack Evans- 7.5/10
Tornado focusing his offense on Jack's head and face played into Jack's promo well. Tornado beats jack down afterwards but Necro Butcher makes the save then raises the PWG Title high above his head, building to a title match between those two at some point.

THE DYNASTY BACKSTAGE PROMO- decent

Overall, an okay show from PWG. This was yet another extremely short show, clocking in at just over ninety minutes. Possibly one of the shortest shows from a major indy that I have ever seen. While not so great on its own, it did a lot to build to the next few shows, and the Jack Evans promo and match with Tornado are worth getting if you are a big Jack Evans fan so I would recommend this DVD, especially if you are going to get the next few from PWG as well. If you are just looking for something stand-alone, though, there are many many better shows out there.
