WWE Survivor Series 2012 (11/18/2012)- Indianapolis, IN
ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH: Tensai, The Prime Time Players,, Primo, & Epico) (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio Jr. & Brodus Clay (w/the Funkadactyls)- 5.75/10
A good showcase for Tyson Kidd. The Prime Time Players also looked good here.
DIVAS BACKSTAGE SEGMENT- good.
WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: Eve Torres(c) vs. Kaitlyn- 4.25/10
NO! Why do a clean finish now? I was SO ready to see Kiatlyn win tonight and that nearfall with Go To Sleepy Hollow had me sucked in. They should have done a dirty finish here and and blown it off with a gimmick match next month.
SURVIVOR SERIES TEAMS BACKSTAGE- good
WWE UNTIED STATES TITLE MATCH: Antonio Cesaro(c) vs. R-Truth- 5.25/10
AJ & VICKIE SEGMENT- this segment would have been perfectly fine if they did it on Raw, but don't waste PPV time with it.
PAUL HEYMAN PROMO- okay
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: The Big Show(c) vs. Sheamus- 6/10
I hated the finish and I didn't like the aftermath, either. Sheamus was up and moving WAY too quickly after taking Show's finisher. It also really bugged me that Sheamus put almost no weight on Big Show's shoulders during his pin attempt. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't read Lance Storm's article on it, but now that I have read that article it really, really, drove me nuts.
ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH: Team Ziggler (Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, David Otunga, & Alberto Del Rio) (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Team Foley (The Miz, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, & Kofi Kingston) (w/Mick Foley)- 6.75/10
Nowhere close to what it should have been. With the exception of the stuff with Miz, I don't think they did a good job of telling the story that they had built up going in to this match: that some people could work together and others couldn't. No one tagging Miz in was good... but Orton should be able to work together with the other guys. Where was the teamwork? Additionally, we almost never saw anyone try to make the save on a pin, which really irked me. I also hated having Sandow eliminated first and so easily.
They should have had Kane and Dragon's arguing lead to Sandow pinning one of them, then had the other one eliminate Sandow. This would have kept the champs strong by not having them lose by being out-wrestled, gives Sandow and Cody even more of a reason to deserve a rematch, and plays up the possibility of Kane and Dragon's arguing costing them the titles.
WWE TITLE MATCH: CM Punk(c) (w/Paul Heyman) vs. John Cena vs. Ryback- 7.75/10
A pretty awesome match marred by a bad finish. Why not just have Punk pull Ryback out of the ring after the Shell Shock and steal the pin on Cena? Instead, they gave us the same type of screwjob finish as last month. I will admit that I am interested to see where this is going and am excited to see Amrbose, Rollins, and Lea'kee in a big angle, but I have a horrible fear that they are going to give us NXT-US or something else similarly poorly thought out.
Overall, not a very good show from the WWE, full of matches not living up to their potential and having bad finishes.
