ROH Violent Tendencies (6/26/2009) Detroit, MI
The show opens with the entire roster coming out for a 10 Bell Salute for Misawa. Classy move by Flair coming out for this one, as he undoubtedly knew it would only hurt his own pop later on.

GRIZZLY REDWOOD vs. SILAS YOUNG-4/10, but proved that Grizz is over!

BRENT ALBRIGHT & ERICK STEVENS vs. KENNY KING & RHETT TITUS-6/10. Solid match.

FLAIR APPEARANCE- nice, but nothing special. He did the usual talk about generic good times in *insert city here* and then put over the ROH locker room.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS vs. CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI- 5.75/10

KEVIN STEEN & EL GENERICO vs. THE HOUSE OF TRUTH (w/Truth Martini)- 7/10 Great main show debut for HOT.

SIX MAN MAYHEM MATCH: Austin Aries vs. Sami Callihan vs. Petey Williams vs. Delirious vs. Rasche Brown vs. Joey Ryan (w/Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris)- 6.5/10. Told a good story, and started both Delirious and Petey Williams on their ROH World Title chases.

COLT CABANA vs. D’LO BROWN- 4/10 I am a big fan of both of these guys, and I love seeing them in the ring… but not together. They have no chemistry whatsoever. I also didn’t like Colt cheating in this one.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The American Wolves(c) vs. Roderick Strong & KENTA- 9/10! Awesome!

STEEL CAGE MATCH: Tyler Black vs. Jimmy Jacobs- 8.5/10
Jimmy came out wearing the same white jacket he wore during the Age of the Fall’s debut at Man Up (with the dried Briscoe Blood still all over it!)
After the match tons of unnamed guys dressed in black charged the ring through the crowd, and beat down Tyler while Jimmy shouted that “the Age of the Fall is not done! The revolution lives forever! FOREVER!” Then the guys hand-surfed Jimmy out of the arena. This was awesome… if taken by itself. The problem with it would come the next night. To have something this awesome lead to nothing is just a travesty!

Bonus match: FRANKIE THE MOBSTER vs. CHRIS HERO (w/Shane Hagadorn)- 5.75/10

Overall, this was a very good show, propped up by two awesome matches at the top of the card. If you like storylines, this is an important show to get because the six man mayhem match set the seeds for both Delirious and Petey Williams’ title chases during the fall of 2009. Also, this show is a must-own for any fans of Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black.
