ROH The Conclusion (11/28/2003)- Fairfield, CT

CM PUNK PROMO- AWESOME (aside from the part where he needlessly broke kayfabe)

COLT CABANA PROMO- good promo by Cabana, followed by HILARIOUS singing from Cabana and Smokes.

THE BACKSEAT BOYZ vs. THE OUTCAST KILLAZ- 3.75.10
Short but enjoyable.

CM PUNK ASKS EVERYONE IF THEY KNOW WHO JUMPED LUCY- good

JOHN WALTERS vs. HOMICIDE (w/Julius Smokes)- 6.5/10
Great showing by Walters.

HOMICIDE PROMO- decent

MATT STRYKER PROMO- good

TAG TEAM SCRAMBLE MATCH: Fast Eddie & Hotstuff Hernandez vs. the SAT vs. The Carnage Crew vs. Dixie & Cloudy (w/the rest of Special K)- 5.25/10
Standard great, spotty action for a tag team scramble. Hernandez looked like a beast in this match. I would have given it a 5.5,but the guy who was pinned wasn't even legally in the match.

BJ WHITMER PROMO- okay

DAN MAFF PROMO- okay

JIMMY RAVE vs. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS (w/Allison Danger)- 6.75/10
Good showing from Rave.

CM PUNK & CHRISTOPHER DANIELS SEGMENT- great

XAVIER PROMO & SEGMENT WITH JOHN WALTERS- the promo was okay, the segment felt overly scripted.

STEVE CORINO (w/Guillotine LeGrande) vs. JOSH DANIELS- 6/10
Corino's entrance schtick was brilliant tonight. The match was good and it make Daniels look tough, but in terms of wrestling skills, he just didn't look as impressive as Walters and Rave did. The only major flaw in this match was the low blow spot. It looked like a low blow and the announcers called it like one, but Daniels stopped selling it too quickly, and, despite it being right in front of his face, the ref didn't DQ Corino for it.
The commentators also seemed to be WAY too impressed with Daniels win. It's not like they didn't see Cide interfere.

CORINO & HOMICIDE BACKSTAGE- the lockerrom broke this one up FAST. This was done perfectly... until Corino says he is walking out of ROH and whining that he isn't getting "put over" like he "deserves"

AJ STYLES PROMO & BACKSTAGE SEGMENT WITH PUNK- good.

FIELD OF HONOR BLOCK A FINALS: Matt Stryker vs. Xavier- 6.75/10

FIELD OF HONOR BLOCK B FINALS: Colt Cabana vs. BJ Whitmer vs. Dan Maff (w/Allison Danger)- 6.5/10
They did a good job playing off of Maff and Whitmer's disdain for Cabana in their promos from earlier. The aftermath with CM Punk was good, too.

ROH TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Briscoe Brothers(c) vs. AJ Styles & Samoa Joe- 7/10
Great story with Joe and AJ working over Mark's knee and I absolutely loved the finish, building ot both Joe vs. AJ tomorrow night at setting up Joe vs. Mark at Final Battle 2003

STEEL CAGE MATCH: CM Punk vs. Raven- 8.25/10
Awesome match. The one flaw in it is the finish. I don't think that an "escape the cage" finish really does this feud justice.
On commentary, the announcers kept making fun of Punk for shedding tears over the attack on Lucy. I think this was a huge mistake. We are supposed to sympathize with Punk over this, as this is what will make the Second City Saints babyfaces in their feud with whoever it was that took out Lucy.

FIELD OF HONOR FINALS CONTRACT SIGNING- decent

SPECIAL K MEETS RAVEN BACKSTAGE- I'm not really sure why this segment was here. It seemed to imply that Raven was going to go back to taking drugs... and that Becky was perfectly okay with being taken by Raven, but Raven wasn't booked for any other shows, so there was no follow-up to any of this.

Overall, a great show from ROH. The Rave vs. Daniels, Corino vs. Josh Daniels, and Walters vs. Homicide matches were billed as "present vs. future" and were intended to give undercard guys who Gabe saw potential in a chance to shine. Those matches definitely accomplished that goal. I think that the Punk stuff did a great job of both getting the angle over and tying the show together.
