ROH The Final Countdown: Boston (9/25/2009)- Boston, MA

YOUNG BUCKS vs. CHEECH & CLOUDY- 6.75/10

SONJAY DUTT vs. DELIRIOUS (w/DAIZEE HAZE)- 5.5/10
After the match, Sonjay beats Delirious down, then forcibly kisses Daizee. When she slaps him, he locks her in the Camel Clutch.

4 CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH: Petey Williams vs. El Generico vs. Chris Hero (w/Shane Hagadorn) vs. Claudio Castagnboli (w/Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris)- 6.25/10
Kind of disappointing, considering the talent involved.

BRET HART SPEECH- Brett talked about some memories in Boston, put over the ROH locker room. Standard stuff. Still, it was nice.

BOSTON STREET FIGHT: Eddie Edwards vs. Kevin Steen- 6.5/10
Going into this match, I knew that Eddie broke his elbow during the match, and you can tell EXACTLY when it happens. Massive props to Eddie for continuing to wrestle with a broken elbow. This match was pretty good, considering that Eddie wrestled half of the match with a broken elbow.

DARK CITY FIGHT CLUB vs. BOBBY DEMPSEY & ALEX PAYNE- 4/10
This would have been a squash, but Dempsey and Sugarfoot got too much offense in.

NIGEL MCGUINNESS vs. RODERICK STRONG- 7.5/10
Never really got out of second gear. Felt like it would have been a lot better with five more minutes. After the match, Nigel gave a short, but heartfelt speech thanking all of his opponents throughout his career.

KENNY OMEGA & COLT CABANA vs. AUSTIN ARIES & RHETT TITUS- 6.75/10
Had some fun comedy in the beginning. Before the match, Aries cut a great promo, which I popped for because it was dissing Boston.

BRYAN DANIELSON vs. DAVEY RICHARDS- 9.5/10
OUTSTANDING!
After the match Davey cut a promo putting over both Dragon and the company, but it came close to breaking kayfabe (Nigel's speech was okay because he was leaving the company, but with Davey it was weird). After that, Dragon gave a nice speech, and put Davey over as being the "Best in the World."

Final thoughts: Chris Hero is ATROCIOUS on commentary. He isn't very insightful and is very annoying. Whenever he gets semi-excited he speaks in a hushed voice, like a kid playing SVR and doing his own commentary, but he doesn't want to be too loud so that he doesn't wake his parents up.
The wrestling on this show was pretty good but not spectacular up until the main event, which is a reason to buy the show in and of itself.
