WWE Over The Limit 2012 (5/20/2012)- Raleigh, NC

This Review contains spoilers if you haven't seen the show...you are warned...

Kane vs Zack Ryder - ??? i don't know, it was in the pre-show and thus i didn't see it.

People Power Battle Royal for either a US or IC Title shot. - 4/10
I'm gonna be honest, it was weird starting the PPV like this, i wasn't sure if i had missed something in the pre-show. I'm glad to see guys like Reks, McIntyre, Hawkins, Regal. Are Reks and Hawkings the new Pink and Black Attack?? Did anyone noticed how awesome a team they are?? Props to Cole for remembering that Mahal and Khali are related. Tyson Kidd was definitely the MVP of this match, for a second there, i felt he had a chance at winning!! People went crazy when Regal was eliminated. The Battle Royal was meh at most, like any other, it wasn't relevant until you're down to the final four...and still. It seems we'll get Christian vs Santino for the US title later.

People Power Commercial - YES! AWESOME!...a then Cena started talking. Build up promo was still pretty good.

WWE Tag Team Title Match
American Perfection vs Truth in Paradise (non-official name) (C) - 7/10
I'm still set on calling Truth and Kingston, "Truth in Paradise". That X-Factor looking double team was cool, but they need to work on their timing. Ziggler's headstand headlock looks great. This was a good "opening" match, great tag team stuff, I honestly don't know how long til they give the titles to Ziggler and Swagger, it's been long overdue.

- I count Truth in Paradise, American Perfection, Primo and Epico, Hunico and Camacho, Black Cena/Titus O'Neil, The Usos, Reks/Hawkins. Who says there's no Tag Team Division?? There is one, it's just not used as it should. These guys just showed there is future there if they're willing to invest some time to it.

Reks, Hawkins, Eve, and Otunga - meh!, but I found it really hypocritical that Lawler reacted like it was a huge attack on freedom of speech, yet WWE has been doing this since forever.

WWE Divas Title Match
Layla (c) vs Beth Phoenix - 4/10
I'm facepalming that this match took place in the first place, weren't they supposed to leave Beth as a strong character in order to have Beth vs Kharma in the future, but then she looses to little Layla?? I didn't really liked the match, they had some time, but Layla sucks at selling and her moves seem to forced into the match.

Orton/Jericho thing - good...these guys should feud over something...anything!

Fatal Four Way for the World Heavyweight Title
Sheamus (c) vs Alberto Del Rio w/ RR vs Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho - 8.5/10
This match should have been sold as an international affair, Mexico vs Canada vs US vs Ireland!! Amazing match, everyone had a chance to showcase and shine. Del Rio is such an amazing heel, too bad there's not enough titles for everyone in this match. There was a point of the match where i thought that anyone could win and Cole et al sold it pretty good that Sheamus could lose the title with anyone getting pinned or tapping out. The Destiny to Walls of Jericho was cool, but it could have been awesome with a better reversal. So many near falls!! Sheamus winning with White Noise was great, it open's Sheamus' artillery, it's such an Irish move...right Finlay?

Eve/Rhodes/Christian Thing - good, now we get a worth wild match between Christian and Rhodes, and not Marella.

The Miz vs Brodus Clay - 5/10
Miz' pre-match promo - good, including the dancing. He's a good dancer.
The Miz is pulling double duty tonight...dancing and jobbing?? facepalm. Thriller moves!!! Honestly, Clay needs to do something worth wild soon, he's getting stale already in my book. The match had good time, but it really didn't do much. Miz is doing more for Clay than vice versa.

Reks and Hawkins take signs - Awesome, anything to have them on TV.

Intercontinental Title Match
Cody Rhodes (c) vs Christian - 6/10
Rhodes' pre-match promo - Short but good
Cody Rhodes has single handed made the IC title relevant again, regardless of what people think about it. A feud between Chistian and Rhodes could indeed help this, but with Christian taking the title here, I'm not sure if it will work. I'd say have them feud until Rhodes wins the MITB. The match was good, but not amazing.

CM Punk Promo - Good promo... AJ!!

WWE Title Match
CM Punk (C) vs Daniel Bryan - 9/10
ALL INDY FANS REJOICE!!! YES! YES! YES! Easily, the two more over guys in the WWE. This is a match to shut up and watch. I popped soo bad for the Curb Stomp!! Not even Booker knew the name!! Dragon Sleeper Surfboard on Punk!!! This is like watching Hart vs Michaels, like Eddie vs Benoit, just two guys soo into what they're doing!!! The finish was iffy and it's only because of this that it doesn't get the 10, but whatever it takes for a rematch.
Punk: I got 'til five!!!
@ WWE Roster and Board of Directors: Are you paying attention now.
Match of the Year Contender.

Camacho w/ Hunico vs Ryback - 3/10
So Camacho debuts in a squash match. Lillian f'd up the entrance announcement. Cole called her out. A note to all winning streaks in WWE, a winning streak doesn't matter if they're all against jobbers and squashes. meh! match. It only got me interested in Camacho, I have no interest in Ryback yet.

John Lauranitis vs John Cena - 6/10
it gave me soo much pleasure to see Ace win after all the humiliation he got. Cena, he almost broke your arm, don't ring the bell in his ear, hit him with it!!! Ace saying the "Five Time, Five Tim...." was great!! This was kinda like Brock vs Cena but backwards. I still wanna see an Ace Crusher!! The Chair You Can't See Me should have been saved for a better match. Show's return (and consequent turn) was predictable, but it was done nicely, i think they should have shown Show coming in with a Ticket, but oh well. Anyway, the match was entertaining, but not main event caliber, it was like a 20 minute squash if you know what i mean.

Final thoughts:
Over the Limit is known to be a meh-show, not tonight. Most of the show was solid, but again, we can skip on the squash matches to have given the World Title matches a bit more time. Or Maybe a US title match. Dragon vs Punk should have closed the show, they're wrestling and pop by the people were so much over than a Cena storyline, a comedy match shouldn't be the main event, especially not over that amazing Dragon vs Punk match or the Fatal Four Way. No Way Out is next, if we get some grudge matches from tonight inside a cage match, NWO has the potential to be a great show.

Notes:
- I may hate Lawler as much as i hate Tenay and Taz. A LOT!!
- SI!! SI!! SI!!
- Sometimes i think that Lawler has forgotten what wrestling is all about
- The Miz is the best dancer in the WWE.
- Lawler doesn't know Thriller?? i hate you Lawler
- It was one year today that Randy Savage died, did anyone remembered?
- During Cena/Ace, the Spanish announce team had the WWE.com roster page in their laptop. Don't they know their info??
- During Cena/Ace, you could also see Lillian Hall had already been called out by Roberts about her f**k ups during the night. I think she's gonna quit soon.
- Lauranitis is great at selling.
- Everytime i hear Ace's into song, i think that JBL is returning.
