Opening Video - Awesome!
ROH World Television Title Match
Jay Lethal (c) w/Truth Martini vs Bobby Fish - 6.5/10
This match felt like it should have started a bit faster pace, but it felt like Fish was more in a hurry to finish the match early than Lethal. Fish did a great job working the legs of Lethal, leaving him somewhat injured for the next bout. Lethal's win was exactly how I expected, or via DQ. Match itself was good, but you could tell that Lethal was saving himself for the next match.
The Boys on the line against Silas becoming a boy
Silas Young vs Dalton Castle w/The Boys - 6/10
Castle got a pretty huge reception from the fans. Aside from watching Dalton's antics, the match wasn't all that special until further in. Silas seemed to be working a better match than Dalton with more counters and all. I didn't really understood why the boys where fanning Silas so much during the match, but after the finish, I hope they learned their lesson. Talking about finish, this makes the 2nd dirty finish tonight, problem is this is also barely the 2nd match.
Apparently Cary Silkin is in Bulgaria scouting talent or something along those lines.
The Decade came out all injured and shit and Whitmer replaced Corino on commentary, working the slowest buildup in ROH history. After this, Romantic Touch came out, stole some kisses, and got his ass kicked by the Briscoes, we all knew this must be a swerve because...
The Briscoes vs The All-Night Express - 7/10
ANX returns!!! Kevin Kelly trying to keep kayfabe and not make ANX look bad, and then comes Whitman to shit all over that mentioning King leaving for TNA, aside from that, Whitmer bitching about everything was awesome. Match was awesome, it's been years since we saw ANX, and to pair them up with their long time rivals Briscoes was awesome. Surprising win too.
Post-Match - Page attacks Jay and ANX make the save, then they become friends. Nice, these two teams need to enter the title contention at some point, I need 2015 ANX vs Young Bucks in my life.
No DQ Match
Moose w/Stokely Hathaway vs Cedric Alexander w/Veda Scott - 7.5/10
Well, Moose just came out with everything. A ladder, a steel chair, and a football helmet have all come into play within the first minutes. Considering there wasn't any blood, this match was really violent, some really sick spots. The finish was really predicable as soon as they set up the table in the corner, but the finish sequence was great.
Best of 5 Series, Match 3 (1-1)
Matt Sydal vs ACH - 7.5/10
This was definitely the most technical match of the night so far. Sydal worked ACH's leg all match, which was mostly dominated by Sydal with small flurry's of offense from ACH. Sydal felt a but heelish during the match, but in a 'we're friends and I'm just messing with you' kinda way, so I don't think there should be much to read on that. Finish was the same as the last match.
ROH World Tag Team Title Triple Threat Match
The Addiction (C) vs The Kingdom w/Maria Kanellis vs The Young Bucks - 7/10
Well, this was just a huge mess and chaos of a match, but in a good way. Bucks were obviously the most over team of the match. The most talk worthy things of the match were Maria taking a straight closed fist from Daniel on the face, and someone disguised in the KRD red mask attire, came out and attacked the Addiction out of all people. The finish was good and smart. Guessing that with the War Machine win from last week's show, Kingdom will move on to fight War Machine.
No 1 Contendership Fatal 4 Way Match
Roderick Strong vs "Phenomenal' AJ Styles vs "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs Adam Cole BAYBAY - 7/10
As awesome combination of talent in this match, it was a bit sloppy at some points, particularly spots that included Elgin. I can't really say that anyone got a good chance to shine, at least not over the other guys, it actually made this match one of the worst we've seen of Roddy this year, but still above average good. I'm surprised for the winner since I didn't think he would challenge for the title so soon.
ROH World Title Match
Jay Lethal (C) w/Truth Martini vs Kyle O'Reilly - 7.5/10
I love when ROH makes those small comments that explain why Martini can be out here with Lethal, but the rest of the House of Truth or Fish aren't. This match totally felt what Fish vs Lethal should had been to the point were I think they should have booked the matches backwards, since the first fight felt more of a less technical all out fight. It was unfortunate that this match didn't play more on the leg, but considering that O'Reilly's offense plays more on the arms, I can see why. I didn't really like the overbooking at the end, especially since Lethal didn't win the first match clean either.
Post-Match - Not only did Cole cost O'Reilly the match, but now the whole Kingdom is out there and rejoin Cole. I guess that's it for Future Shock fans.
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
A great show from ROH, every match felt like a big deal thanks to the build up. Match-wise, while all where great, nothing felt particularly better than the rest. I wasn't a big fan of how they booked Lehtal winning dirty in both matches
