NJPW G1 Climax 25: Day 9 (8/2/2015)- Nagoya, Japan

MASCARA DORADA, TOMOAKI HONMA, & DAVID FINLAY JR. vs. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, SATOSHI KOJIMA, & KUSHIDA- 5/10

MICHAEL ELGIN & JAY WHITE vs. BULLET CLUB (Cody Hall & Yujiro Takahashi)- 6/10

YUGI NAGATA, HIROOKI GOTO, & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN vs. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, & Shinsuke Nakamura)- 6/10

BULLET CLUB (Karl Anderson vs. Tama Tonga) vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & Gedo)- 6.25/10
Anyone else finding this string of wins by Tama Tonga a little suspicious?

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Kota Ibushi- 6.5/10

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Katsuyori Shibata vs. Bad Luck Fale- 7.25/10
Great selling from Shibata (there’s something I don’t usually get the chance to type). The way he stumbled back really sold Fale as this big monster. And HOLY SH*T THAT FINISH!

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Doc Gallows- 6.75/10
It was pretty fun to watch the Bullet Club guys going at it with each other.

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Togi Makabe vs. Tetsuya Naito- 7/10
Naito randomly shoves the ref really hard for no reason (either kayfabe or match-structure). There was no DQ for this.

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK A MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Toru Yano- 7.25/10
Well… this was a lot better than I was expecting. Still, it shouldn’t have been the main event because 1) we’ve seen it so many times this year, and 2) the semi-main had more combined star-power.

A decent show from New Japan.
