Wrestlers get repackaged to new gimmicks every so often, some work like Ryback or Clay, some don't like Tensai.

from the years and years of wrestling, what wrestlers have received re-packages that just made you facepalm??

I'm undecided between Rick Steamboat's transformation into a fire breathing dragon, and Tony Atlas going full on native as Samba Simba.

Honorable Mention to Ed Leslie (Brutus Beefcake) who WCW really couldn't seem to get right.

Dustin Rhodes preacher gimmick from 1998. Infact pretty much the Goldust character that wasnt from between 1995-1997. That was Goldust at his best.

Might get some stick but Dude Love. Just never got it, loved Cactus Jack, Loved Mankind but didt like Dude Love.

Suicide, to have a talented wrestler like Kaz in that suit for so long was disgraceful

Shark Boy's Austin Gimmick. Never liked Shark Boy anyway. Would have paid to have seen Austin throw him around the ring for 20 mins :)

Bob-o Ed Leslie was awesome as The Man With No Name in DoD...

whoever the hell became the Shockermaster...

Dustin Rhodes as Seven,AKA "Uncle Fester"

This is questionable,But Mordecai to Kevin Thorne.Mordecai was better,Slightly.

Deuce To Sim Snuka, never cared for the gimmick.

Supposedly this one was sh*ty on purpose so Dustin could cut a worked shoot promo. This is the sort of thing that WCW thought was a good idea.

Have him look like Uncle Fester then make a video package that makes him look like a peado. Yeah seems a Vince Russo idea to me

30 years of watching wrestling and I swear my biggest face-palm of all time was Hulk Hogan showing up as "Mr. America". OMFG! #-o

Plenty of great ones listed here by the way. WWE did many really awful things in the late '80s & early '90s with incoming talent who had already established themselves elsewhere. Damn near everybody who was already a good and believable character in their prior career came to WWE and was given a totally ridiculous gimmick.

Reiss was not Big John Studd. Big John Studd died six months before The Yeti debuted.
