Wrestling Cliche Game

Post by Chris Everlast » Jan 22nd, '11, 05:56

I think we had one of these games before.

Basicly, list wrestling 'cliches' in a long list, I'll start.

1. The referee is deaf, blind and fragile as porcelain.

It's bound to happen : You are fresh before a match, get kicked once and are immediately in danger of losing [even though you've been through tables and were still able to get up and walk away].

no matter how much people hate each other or want to hurt their opponent, they'll always go for the pin rather than continue their offense...

I'm kinda new to this, so I will say, you are a face getting ready to win a title match, and right before you go for you finisher, your heel opponent pulls the ref in the way to get disqualified.

If you're a face, you are going to win, but the heel opponent will beat you until you can barely even stand. However, if you are a heel you will be a virtual unstoppable force

It is perfectly acceptable to jump someone. Even with a weapon. As long as you don't hurt them too badly.

Rey Mysterio ALWAYS manages to spontaneously drape his opponent over the middle rope in EVERY match.

Both true and boring. I did like Rey Mysterio when was IC champ last year. The matches he had were awesome, and less predictable.

A simple move like a punch to the face or an elbow will almost always set you up for a finisher if they have a special name attached to them followed by a taunt [ie Five Knuckle Shuffle or People's Elbow].

It doesn't matter how much punishment you deal, you'll never win the match until you hit your finishing maneuver.
Reality TV is faker than "fake" wrestling!

In an I Quit match, if you swear you will not quit, you won't...but if you use the words in a promo then the recording will be used if you have to lose...

You don't go to jail for
- trespassing
- kidnapping
- cutting people with objects
- attacking fans
- sexual harassment

yet, if you wanna fight someone in the middle of the ring and that someone brings the cops, you're BUSTED!!!

You can add blackmail to this list as well.

You can get away with anything if your referee is Slick Johnson.

Never trust a Hebner... he's now been part of 4 major screw jobs... (Hogan/Andre in 1988, Hart/Michaels in 1997, Slammiversary 2006 (KOTM match), & Angle/Styles on 1/28/2010 Impact)

You can also beat up said cops and not go to jail for assaulting a police officer
