WWE No Way Out 2012 (6/17/2012)- East Rutherford, NJ
PRE-SHOW MATCH: David Otunga vs. Brodus Clay (w/The Funkadactyls)- 4.25/10
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Sheamus(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero)- 7.5/10
Outstanding opener.
TUXEDO MATCH: Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriguez- okay comedy match
MATT STRIKER INTERVIEWS CM PUNK- Punk’s promo was good. They have really killed AJ’s character, though, which makes me extremely sad.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Christian(c) vs. Cody Rhode- 6.25/10
WINTER BECOMES #1 CONTENDER TO THE WWE TAG TEAM TITLES: Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel vs. The Primetime Players (Titus O’Neil & Darren Young) vs. The Usos vs. Primo & Epico (w/Rosa Mendes & A.W)- 6.5/10
I LOVED the finish and the aftermath. I now finally have a reason to care about these two teams. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have had the Primetime Players jump Primo & Epico before they managed to knock AW down.
MITB COMMERCIAL- LOVED IT! In the scene where Ricardo is giving Del Rio a foot massage, there is a woman in the background who is actually THROWING WADS OF MONEY INTO THE FIREPLACE! OUTSTANDING! This was much better than last month’s Daniel Bryan-AJ Dudley Do-Right gender-bender because this, while funny, was also in character.
TIRPLE H PROMO- pretty good
AJ & DRAGON BACKSTAGE- it build up to the “mystery” of the main event.
WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH: Layla El(c) vs. Beth Phoenix- 4.5/10
AJ & KANE BACKSTAGE- horrid. Kane showing emotion goes against everything he has been saying he wanted to so since the build to Wrestlemania began!
SIN CARA vs. HUNICO (w/Camacho)- 5/10
The first time I’ve seen Sin Cara’s finisher look decent.
WWE TITLE MATCH: CM Punk(c) vs. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan- 8.25/10
For a match build around AJ, she was surprisingly absent here. This finish also seems designed to keep the whole “who does AJ love?” mystery going, but I am already at my wit’s end with it. That needed to be resolved tonight.
HANDICAP MATCH: Dan Delaney & Rob Grymes vs. Ryback- snore. Seriously. Why are you wasting time with a damn squash on PPV. It doesn't get Ryback any more over, and just takes tome away from the other, more important, matches. Cole says that Ryback is "mowing down everybody." No he isn't. He is mowing down NOBODIES.
IF CENA WINS, JOHNNY ACE WILL BE FIRED, IF BIG SHOW WINS, CENA WILL BE FIRED: John Cena vs. The Big Show- 6/10
I actually liked Show's victims getting some revenge on him, and I think it protected Show very well. I didn't think that match was anything more than "good," though, and it was definitely not acceptable as a main event. I am very sad that Johnny Ace is gone, though, and I really didn't like Cole claim to have never, ever supported him.
Overall, a decent show from WWE, but with a disappointing main event
