Problem with me is that i am excited but i'm afraid that just like WrestleMania last year, i'm going to be let down.

right now i'm hyped for the matches that have been announced. I don't really know the backstory to each, but the pairing and the potential matches sound good.

anyone who can't see how epic Trips vs Taker in a HIAC is just a plain hater

If they were both a bit younger i'd be a bit more into it. No offense to Taker, but his body obviously can't do more then 1 match a year if that. Not even a great match either. Last year really showed how winded he can get.

Speaking of Taker, was i the only one who felt the crowd from a few weeks back was horrible when they kept doing the "What?" chant during his promo? I don't recall a crowd doing that to him before, then again i may be wrong. I'm guessing that since i haven't seen Taker in a while i can't remember if they did that to him.

I'm pretty stoked.

Cena vs Rock should deliver
Punk vs Jericho should deliver
Bryan vs Sheamus will make the card this year. It's for the WHC, so it'll probably open the show, but it'll air! Good enough in my book!

It actually FEELS like Wrestlemania this year, unlike the last two years where I felt like just another PPV. I've missed that "Biggest Show of the Year" feel.

As for Trips vs Taker. Meh, call me a hater then.

They could stage this piece of crap in an exploding barbed wire electric cell with Shawn Micheals attached to 'Taker's "symbol" hanging from the middle it and I would still view it as a great time to take a piss. They're just gonna lean and lay on each other again for a half an hour just like last year until 'Taker finally wins and they're both gonna cry and hug some more and everyone's gonna say "What an awesome story they just told..."

To each their own. Agree to disagree. They can keep this one.

I am SO PSYCHED for this Wresltemania. Dragon vs Sheamus should be awesome, but we have never seen them have any significant time against each other, so it should feel fresh. I am slightly disappointed that Dragon vs. Big Show isn't getting its blow-off here.

Punk vs. Jericho should be awesome.

I am honestly expecting at least 9/10 from Rock vs. Cena.

I would be skeptical about Taker vs. Triple H, but every time I do, I remember saying that I didn't want to see Taker vs. HBK again and that there was no way in hell would come close to last year's... and it did.

I want to say I'm excited for it but I've been let down for the past couple of years at Wrestlemania.

As much as I like the what chants, you just don't do it to a veteran like The Undertaker. It's just disrespectful.

This COULD be the best Mania ever; the four matches that are signed could be AWESOME; enough so that even if the rest of the card fails (which I doubt) it could STILL be the best ever.

Another bit i'd LOVE to point out is that one of the matches which happens to be for a WORLD TITLE is rematch of a match that was bumped off the main card from last years show. If i recall correctly, Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus was a dark match last year.

Any crowd that does "WHAT?" chants when Austin isn't involved is horrible.

so...EVERY WWE crowd since the chant began?

and it SHOULDN'T have been bumped. Honestly, aside from Punk v. Orton and Edge v. Del Rio (Cody v. Rey was good, too; nothing special though), WM27 was garbage! HHH & Taker took up the ENTIRE extra hour of the show, the Snookie match was barely an attraction, the eight man tag was just not enough, and the WWE title match was just plain WEAK and ended TERRIBLY! I feel like this year's Mania is gonna be their reprieve; they wanna learn from their mistakes. making Bryan v. Sheamus the dark match was a HUGE mistake imo; and I remember a lot off fans being upset about that too.

Yes. It is the most obnoxious thing ever.

It really is; the only way around it is for WWE guys to stop giving promos with that delivery. If more guys were able speak in a more conversational way, there'd be no more room for those chants. I know it'd be kinda hard to do, but they at least have to stop the standard WWE promo delivery they seem to have trained most of their guys in.

That isn't WWE standard, that is THE standard. If anybody tried to cut a promo without pausing it would be so crap. You have to pause for effect. Sadly, we are stuck with the "what" chants forever.
No it's not. So many guys have the ability to cut different types of promos.

thank you, YCW.

Kevin Steen, the Rock, CM Punk, Bully Ray, Austin Aries, Dolph Ziggler, and Steve Corino all do a pretty good job of cutting promos in a more realistic, conversational manner. The latest botchedspot cartoon cero posted explains my point perfectly. When you pause after every sentence, you're just asking for it these days. HBK does an ok job, but HHH and Taker were just sitting ducks three mondays ago.

In recent years WrestleMania has gone from being the grandest stage of them all to being more like just another PPV.

I couldn't agree more. In my mind, that chant got old many years ago and I can't believe people still actually do it.

This year feels different, though. Triple H and Taker are back. Jericho is back. Rock is back. And it isn't the fact that they are back as much as it is they are back for this show.

The card this year feels completely stacked, and that is without Rey, Del Rio, and Edge, and Randy Orton is involved in a mid-card match.
