OPENING SEGMENT-Great.

NASH & JOHNNY ACE LEAVE TOGETHER- Interesting. Props to JR for reminding us why this isn’t as suspicious as it looks.

AIR BOOM vs. THE GREAT KHALI & JINDER MAHAL- 4/10, but a well-booked finish.

#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH FOR THE WWE DIVAS TITLE: Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix- 4/10. Kelly and Nattie’s arguing was great.

CM PUNK vs. R-TRUTH (w/The Miz)- 7/10

TRIPLE H & PUNK ADD SOME STIPS- wow. Something is going to happen, but I’m not sure what. Either we get a Kliq reunion, KoW come in a help Punk win, or who knows what, but I am definitely intrigued.

OTUNGA & MCGILLICUTTY vs. JERRY LAWLER & ZACK RYDER- 3/10. What was the point of this? As Cole pointed out, Lawler did all of the damage. So no one comes out of this looking good.

RANDY ORTON vs. HEATH SLATER- Glorified Squash

CENA-DEL RIO SEGMENT- Good set up for the main event (but you have to wonder why WWE would do a show with no main event set)

8 MAN ELIMINATION MATCH: John Cena, Sheamus, John Morrison, & Alex Riley vs. Christian, Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, & Dolph Ziggler- 7.25/10. Good storytelling.

Overall, this episode of Raw was very mixed. The good was pretty good, but that bad was utter crap.

The point was of Lawler/Ryder vs Team Vanilla was all the Ryder marks wanted him to win on Raw and they got it. Nothing more than fanservice.

but still, the hell with ryder take him out of the equation and what was the point? The whole angle of the match wasnt even about him

What the crowd wants sometimes, they get. They didn't need to have this match but they did and Ryder got some camera time. It was to make the marks aka majority of the WWE universe happy.

I think they (and I) would have been happier if Ryder had been the one getting the offense in.

Thats true, they did a wrong combo way of keeping with the crowd. Lawler is a retired guy, he shouldn't be able to beat a guy like Otunga or McGillicutty without his tag partner who isn't retired doesn't do much of the offense. Otunga & McGillicutty are a solid team without charisma so it looks quite bad having them being beaten by Lawler without much of Zack Ryder.
