This is the go home RAW before SummerSlam. Last week it was announced that CM Punk will face John Cena to determine who the real WWE Champion is because both have a legitimate claim to being the champion. Also, Beth Phoenix won a battle royal to determine the new #1 contender for the Divas Championship. After she won, Kelly Kelly congratulated her during which Phoenix attacked Kelly. Their match will be at SummerSlam as well.

Theres also a rumor going around that Punk & Cena will be in action tonight, but again it's just rumor.

Results:

John Cena defeated Jack Swagger.
-Cena pinned Swagger after an Attitude Adjustment.

The Miz defeated Kofi Kingston.
-Miz pinned Kingston after the Skull Crushing Finale.
-Originally was supposed to be Miz vs Rey Mysterio but Miz attacked Mysterio before the match and Kingston was announced as his replacement.

CM Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio.
-Punk pinned Del Rio after a Go2Sleep.

Beth Phoenix defeated Eve Torres.
-Phoenix pinned Eve after a Glam Slam.

Alex Riley defeated Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero by DQ.
-Guerrero slapped Riley causing the Disqualification.

R-Truth defeated John Morrison.

Wouldn't it be better if Punks first televised match was at the PPV? I know he works the house shows but having him in a match on RAW after his return before a big PPV title match seems like a bad idea...

Thats what im thinking as well. I cant see the match being called right down the middle without someone getting screwed.
