The following post was made on the wall of the official IWA Mid-South Facebook Page on July 6:

As of 1 July 2011 IWA MID-SOUTH WRESTLING is under new ownership.

A group of undisclosed partners (at this time) have purchased IWA Mid-South from Ian Rotten.

They are planning to re-vamp the company and return it to the previously unprecedented status that it had once obtained.

More details from the new owners will be coming soon.

Well, with Ian out of ownership most likely they will shed its hardcore roots soon... too bad if so...

So wrestlers will actually get paid (no Ian) and not kill themselves for nothing matches? Sounds like a win-win to me.

The King of the Death Tournament that they held every year was an international success... if Ian wasn't paying the wrestlers then I don't understand why IWA lasted so long? And how they landed greatness like Eddie Guerrero, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Sandman, Sabu, RVD, among others...

He was notorious for not paying wrestlers, paying them late, breaking deals and promises, etc. Just watch a shoot interview of anybody who has ever wrestled an IWA-MS show. After JC Bailey died, his father or someone close to him (can't remember off the top of my head) revealed that sometimes Ian couldn't pay Bailey, so he gave him drugs instead.
